About VIM Airlines

VIM Avia or VIM Airlines was a Russian airline, which operated both international scheduled and passenger flights from its hub at Moscow Airport. VIM Airlines flew to many destinations including Osh, Dushanbe, Khujand, Qurghonteppa, Andizhan, Fergana, Namangan, Qarshi, Samarkand, Termez, Gyumri, Yerevan, Ganja, Lankaran, Qabala, Eilat, Dubai, Chisinau, Catania, Naples, Rimini, Tivat and many others.

In 2015, "VIM-AVIA" had carried about 1 600 000 people. The airline has performed 11,414 flights, of which 10,520 were regular (90%). The number of flights had increased by 868. The airline performed flights to Sochi, Krasnodar, Anapa, Simferopol, Chisinau, Magadan, Pevek, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Blagoveshchensk, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Makhachkala, Yerevan, Samarkand, Termez, Karshi, Osh, Namangan, Ferghana, Andijan, Kurgan-Tube, Ganja, Gyumri, Termez, Tenerife, Rimini, Ovda. The flights to cities such as Vladivostok, Magadan, Khabarovsk were resumed. The charter flights were carried out to Spain, Italy, Israel, to the Greek island resorts; also the cooperation with United Nations Organisation has been continued. As of September 2017, VIM Airlines' fleet consisted Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

VIM Airlines has selected Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services to carry out maintenance on its newly introduced Boeing 777 fleet. The airline, which has confirmed the agreement, has a single example of the type, a 777-200 delivered in April. Boeing Shanghau Aviation Services is a venture between the US airframer, China Eastern Airlines, and Shanghai airport authorities. VIM-Avia says the maintenance firm has 11 customers in Russia and Central Asia, including AirBridgeCargo and Air Astana.
