Baggage Policy

There's a different baggage policy in place for those who book carry-on baggage compared to checked baggage.

Carry-on Baggage

Carry on baggage allowance for all passengers is one piece of 7kg hand baggage. For health and safety reasons, all baggage must fit within the overhead lockers and the seat in front.

No prohibited items are allowed onboard including any fluid exceeding 100ml. Lithium battery must be carried in the carry-on baggage and it must not be stored in the checked baggage.

Checked Baggage

Passengers receive one piece of 10kg checked baggage. Depending on the size of any oversized items, the airline may/ may not accept the baggage. However, there could be a fee applied to any oversized items.

Excess Baggage

Excess baggage can be purchased at the check-in desk and during the booking process. It's often cheaper to buy excess baggage in advance before arriving at the airport. Learn about how to buy excess baggage with Alternative Airlines to give yourself additional baggage allowance on the flight.

Check-In

Sunlight Air only offer check-in at the airport, online check-in has not yet been approved.

Online Check-in

Online check-in isn't available for the airline. All passengers must check in at the airport.

Airport Check-in

All passengers must check-in before the airline check-in deadline stated by the airline. At Alternative Airlines, we recommend passengers arrive at the airport two hours before the scheduled departure time.

Once arrive at the airport, passengers should report directly to the airport check-in desks. The airline designated check-in area is located on the departure information board at the airport. Passengers should prepare their travel documents including a passport, a national ID card and/or a visa for check-in.
