Oman Air is the national airline of Oman and is headquartered at Muscat International Airport in Muscat. Carry-on Baggage

The carry-on baggage allowance for Economy Class Oman Air passengers is one piece of carry-on baggage with a maximum weight of 7kg. The carry-on baggage allowance for Business Class and Economy Class passengers is two pieces of carry-on baggage weighing no more than 7kg each.

Checked Baggage

Oman Air Economy Class passengers are allowed two pieces of baggage with a combined weight of 30kg. Business Class and First Class passengers are permitted two pieces of checked baggage with a combined weight of no more than 50kg. Each item must not exceed 158 linear cm. No single baggage should weigh more than 32kg.

Passengers flying First Class with Oman Air are provided with one of the longest 180-degree flat beds available on any commercial airliner. First Class passengers are offered the latest comfort and amenities, as well as an innovative entertainment system. 

Oman Air Economy Class

Economy Class in Oman Air has been revamped with a brand new look of bold colours and modern upholstery. Feel like you are part of the Oman scenery as the design is influenced by the sunset and sea colours of Oman. Economy Class passengers travelling with Oman Air have access to 10.6 inch individual TV screens supported with ARIA entertainment system. Oman Air opened up reservations for its planned service to Russia, the airline has announced. from 28th October 2018 the airline hopes to operate a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on Muscat – Moscow Domodedovo route. This route will be served on daily basis. The new Oman Air

Oman Air France has become a beacon for the development progress of the tourism industry in the Sultanate of Oman. The branch of Oman Air received an arawrd in an Oman workshop in Paris. Many executive people at Oman Air attended the event.

Oman Air commences Multi-crew Pilot License training programme

Oman Air has got the ball rolling with its Multi-crew Pilot License (MPL) programme in coordination with the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) to issue the first Omani pilot license. This has been sparked by the the state-of-the-art Oman Air Flight Training Centre (OAFTC) was inaugurated. The programme has been very popular so far. with 20 cadets having already enrolled in the programme after a series of competency assessments. With the latest facilities and the highest levels of professional guidance, this programme is considered the next big step in the expansion of Oman Air.

Oman Air wins double at World Travel Awards

Oman Air took home two awards at the World Travel Awards, which took place last week at JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa, Vietnam, claiming the titles 'World’s Leading Airline – Economy Class' and ‘World’s Ultimate Service Award in Hospitality’. The awards were received by Hamad Al Harthy, acting regional vice president – Far East, on behalf of Oman Air. The year 2017 has been a stellar year for Oman Air; the airline has been presented with a multitude of awards and accolades from renowned organisations around the globe, including four World Travel Awards. Earlier this year, Oman Air was named the ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline, Business Class’ and ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline, Economy Class’ in the World Travel Awards Middle East 2017.


Acting CEO of Oman Air, Abdul Aziz Alraisi, said: “This is a fantastic way for Oman Air to conclude the year; winning four World Travel Awards, along with various other awards in 2017. These awards set the standards for the travel industry and it is testament of our quality services and product offering that we have consistently been voted the best. Oman Air boosts frequency of Muscat-Duqm services

Due to ever-growing demand, Oman Air recently boosted its Muscat-Duqm services. Following the introduction of the airline’s winter schedule, which was introduced on October 29, Oman Air now operates six flights a week to Duqm, instead of five. The additional service takes off on Tuesdays at 12:50, arriving in Duqm at 14:15. The return flight takes off at 15:00, arriving in Muscat at 16:25. Duqm, an industrial port town, has embraced impressive development since 2008. As a Special Economic Zone, it attracts investors spanning the globe.

Oman Air has won two awards at the World Travel Awards Middle East 2017.

The national carrier was awarded the top position for two awards in the ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline - Business Class’ and ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline - Economy Class’ categories at a glittering ceremony which was held on Sunday in Dubai. This is the fourth year in a row that Oman Air has taken the titles, which are voted for by travel and tourism professionals from around the world. This is the latest in a long line of awards won by Oman Air, stated a press release.


Acting CEO of Oman Air, Eng Abdulaziz al Raisi, said, “This is a fantastic achievement for Oman Air to be voted the best, considering the competition we were up against. These awards set the standards for the travel industry and confirm that Oman Air services and standards are of the highest quality. It is immensely gratifying to be recognised for our unique product and overall guest experience in both these two key classes in our industry.” The World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry. Oman Air awarded 'Best Airline in Europe, Middle East and Africa'

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, was named "Best Airline in Europe, Middle East and Africa" at the Seven Stars Luxury Lifestyle and Hospitality Awards 2017, for the second year in a row.

The award was given at a ceremony on September 23rd, 2017 at "The Ecali Club" in Athens, Greece, and was attended by senior management from the global travel industry. Oman Air was represented by Rogier De Jager, Regional Vice President — Europe. For 2017, the nominees in the Europe, Middle East and Africa category were Emirates, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, Gulf Air, Saudia, Oman Air, South African Airways, Swiss Air and Turkish Airlines.

Paul Gregorowitsch, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, said, "Winning this prestigious award for the second time in a row is a significant recognition of the outstanding product, service and Omani hospitality that Oman Air is offering its guests. Oman Air signs codeshare agreement with Kenya Airways

Oman Air, the national carrier of Oman, has implemented a codeshare agreement with Kenya Airways (KQ) covering services between Muscat and Nairobi effective Aug. 28. The airline said the new partnership will allow seamless connectivity to customers of Kenya Airways in accessing Muscat directly from Nairobi. Oman Air launched its flights to Nairobi in March this year. On the Nairobi-Muscat route, KQ will place its codeshare flight numbers on the Oman Air flights operating on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Oman Air commences daily services between Muscat to Manchester

Oman Air have commenced services from Muscat to Manchester from 1st May 2017. The service departs Muscat 14:00pm daily and arrives in the UK at 19:05. It then departs Manchester at 20:45 and arrives in Oman at 07:20 the next day, with onward flights to 27 long-haul destinations within three hours’ connecting time. The route is operated by the airline’s A330-200s. Oman Air's CEO Paul Gregorowitsch, said: “The addition of this flight to and from Manchester is a pivotal development and demonstrates our commitment to the UK market. Oman Air is the only carrier operating direct flights to the Sultanate outside of London, offering British and Omani travellers the convenience of flying direct between the north of England and Muscat.


Collette Roche, Deputy CEO of Manchester Airport, said: “It is pleasing to see Oman Air commence daily direct flights to Muscat from Manchester. As well as connecting these two cities, the route opens up access to the airline’s incredible onward connectivity across Asia and beyond. The fact this route in the UK can only be found at Manchester outside of London clearly showcases the role we play as a gateway for the North. Oman Air announced it had opened a new Gulf route from Manchester Airport.

A new air route to the Gulf has been opened up from Manchester airport. Oman Air is running daily flights to Muscat, offering onward connections to 27 onward destinations. The service is being operated by an Airbus A330-200 and is in addition to double daily flights from Heathrow.

Oman Air announced it would add a new Boeing 737-800 to its fleet

This was the sixth brand new Boeing 737-800 joining the young Oman Air fleet this year as part of the airline’s expansion plan. Oman Air has operated B737s for many years and the aircraft provide the backbone of the airline’s long and medium haul fleet. The new aircraft was deployed to Bahrain on November 19 for its first commercial flight, which exemplifies Oman Air’s experience in swiftly introducing new aircraft into operations as soon as they join the fleet.

Oman Air has announced a new daily flight from Manchester to Muscat May 2017

The daily flight to Oman Air’s hub will take 7.5 hours and be operate by a Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner and is in addition to the double daily flight from Heathrow, making Manchester the only airport outside of London to have direct flights to Muscat.
