About OLT
Founded in 1958, OLT was North German regional airline that was headquartered in the town of Emden and its principal flying base at Bremen. OLT specialised in flying holidays makers to the islands off the North German coast and operating international services from Bremen. The cities served from Bremen included Bristol, Brussels, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Nuremberg, Toulouse and Zurich. In addition to, Hamburg was connected to Bristol and Rostock with Cologne and Munich.
OLT flew to 10 destinations overall at the time that it ceased operations and had a total of 15 aircraft within its fleet. OLT's fleet was made up of 10 Fokker 100, four Saab 2000 and one Saab 340.
In 2012 the airline acquired fellow regional german airline Contact Air, merging into the OLT brand and discontinuing the Contact Air branding. However, later In 2013, OLT ceased operations due to financial difficulties.
