Mihin Lanka was a low-cost airline based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, owned by the Sri Lankan government. Mihin Lanka was founded in 2006 and flew services from its hub at Bandaranaike International Airport to many cities within India, Southeast Asia, Eastern Africa and the Arab states of the Persian Gulf. Operations commenced in 2007 with two wet- leased Airbus A320 aircraft, connecting to Tiruchirappali, Thiruvananthapuram, Bangkok, Singapore, Bodhgaya and Male. In 2011 Mihin Lanka expanded its routes to Manila and Chittagong and added a third aircraft in 2012. The airline had codeshare agreements with SriLankan Airlines.
