Líneas Aéreas Suramericanas (LAS) is a Colombian cargo airline based in Bogotá, Colombia. The airline operates domestic cargo charters and flights as well as international services to North and South America, Caribbean and Mexico. The Colombian airline is headquartered at El Dorado International Airport, Bogotá.

Founded as AeroNorte in 1982, the airline was later renamed in 1986. It then began international operations to Bogota the following year. After becoming a member of IATA in 2013, the company underwent a rebrand — changing its logo, branding and aircraft livery but its name remained the same.

El Dorado International Airport

El Dorado International Airport, or Bogota Airport, is Líneas Aéreas Suramericanas main hub airport and is located in Bogotá, Colombia.

It is ranked among the world's 50 busiest airports in terms of passenger traffic and is the largest airport in Colombia. It also acts as an important hub for Avianca, Copa Airlines, LAN Colombia, Wingo and Satena. The airport has two runways and can process almost 30 million passengers per year.

Fleet

Líneas Aéreas Suramericans fleet consists entirely of Boeing aircraft. The airline has models such as the Boeing 727-100F, Boeing 727-200F, Boeing 727-200F Super 27 and Boeing NG 737-800BCF within its fleet.

The airline has not always operated Boeing aircraft. Upon launch, under the AeroNorte name, the airline flew Curtiss C46 and a Douglas DC-6. Following that the airline added Canadair and Caravelle aircraft and continued operating these until 1991 when it purchased its first Boeing aircraft.
