About Itek Air

Itek Air was an airline based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. It was founded in 1999 and operated scheduled domestic and international passenger flights, as well as cargo services, to destinations in Central Asia, Russia, China, and Turkey.

However, the airline faced various safety concerns and incidents, leading to it being banned from operating in the European Union in 2007. In 2008, an Itek Air flight crashed in the mountains near Bishkek, killing all 68 people on board. The incident led to further scrutiny of the airline's safety record and operational practices.

As a result of these issues, Itek Air's operating license was revoked by the Kyrgyz government in 2010, and the airline ceased operations.
