Aviastar is anIndonesian domestic passenger airline based in East Jakarta, Indonesia. Aviastar Indonesia was established on the 12th of June 200 byCapt. Sugeng Triyono and his 4 colleagues who began as a helicopter charter service company with a number of leased helicopters. In 2003, Aviastar began its operations with afix wing aircraft with 2 units of DeHavilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otters. Now Aviastar is anestablished company handling air transportation services for charter and scheduled flights.
Aviastar Indonesia has several bases includingJakarta (CGK),Palangkaraya (PKY), Balikpapan (BPN), Makassar (UPG), Nabire (NBX) and Denpasar (DPS).

Aviastar Indonesia has different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on Baggage
Aviastar passengers are permitted to a piece of carry-on baggage,free of charge with a maximum weight of 7 kg. The dimension of yourcarry-on baggage must not exceed23 x 36 x 56 cm or 9 x 14 x 22 inches.Carry-on baggage must fit in the overhead lockers and under the seat in front.
Please ensure that you are not packing prohibited items inside your carry-on baggage, this includes any liquids over 100ml. Any prohibited items found will be removed from your bag at security.
Checked Baggage
Aviastar permits passengers to bring 1 piece of checked baggage, weighing no more than 15 kg. Under no circumstance should checked baggage exceed 32 kg dueto health and safety reasons.
Baby strollers, wheelchairs and walkers areallowed in checked baggage.
