Envoy Air was founded in 1984 as American Eagle Airlines. It began its service in the aviation industry in 1988 by serving regional destinations on behalf of American Airlines. In 2014, American Eagle Airlines re-branded to Envoy Air as part of a larger effort by American Airlines to modernise and streamline its regional routes.
