How does payment work at Alternative Airlines?
At Alternative Airlines, you can select from any of the above currencies to pay for your flights. You don't have to use the currency of the area you're currently in. For example, if you're living in the United Kingdom but want to pay for your flights in US dollars, you can do so.
The currency you choose will impact the Buy Now Pay Later options you see at checkout. At Alternative Airlines, you can fly now and pay over several weeks, months or even years. Some of our most used BNPLs include Klarna, Tabby and Atome.
You can also pay for your flights via deposit. Select Slice Pay at checkout and put a 10% deposit on your flights, securing your ticket. Then pay for the rest in up to 26 weeks, ending before departure.
Rather pay traditionally? Then, you can pay entirely upfront. We offer 40+ ways to pay, including several e-wallet options, like Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Select your currency
You'll find our currency button at the top of the page, slightly to the right. Once you click it you'll see a dropdown list of all Alternative Airlines' currencies. Select your ideal currency, then begin searching for your flights.
You can choose any currency you'd like. It doesn't have to be the currency of where you're living.

Select your preferred payment provider at checkout
Once you've entered your passenger details, airline and additional amenities, you'll be taken to checkout. Select your preferred payment method, whether that's using an e-wallet, a Buy Now Pay Later or crypto.
Some payment methods are currency-specific and may not be available to you.

Once you've selected your payment method, you're all done! You'll receive confirmation to your email inbox.

Can I pay with my local currency?
Most likely. Alternative Airlines offers over 160 currencies, including widespread and local ones. Check the list above to see if we offer your currency at checkout.
Can I buy flights in a different currency?
Yes. You can book flights using any of our available currencies. The currency you select isn't tied to where you live. Choose any of the 160+ currencies at checkout and pay your way.
Should I pay in my local currency upfront or on credit card?
This is up to you. At Alternative Airlines, there are numerous ways to pay. You can pay upfront with a debit card, or you can pay over time with a credit card. Deciding which works best for you can depend on many factors, including budgeting, time frame of booking and your credit score.
Is it better to pay with my local currency or buy now pay later?
This is up to you. At Alternative Airlines, we offer 20+ Buy Now Pay Later lenders that let you spread the cost of your flight tickets over time. The currency you select will impact the Buy Now Pay Later options you see at checkout.
Is it better to pay for my flights upfront or with a deposit?

Can I pay my flight with a deposit using my local currency?
This depends on your local currency. Slice Pay is Alternative Airlines' sole layaway and, therefore, the only way to put a deposit on your flights. Slice Pay is only available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. If you want to put a deposit on your flights, you will have to pay in USD, CAD, GBP, AUD, or NZD.
