Buy LAN Express Flights with Alternative Airlines

LAN Express is now renamed to LATAM Express, it's a subsidiary airline of LATAM Chile. The airline is primarily operating domestic flights with a few international flights served by the airline. It's operating out of Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, Chile.

The airline was launched in 1958, previously known as Ladeco until it was acquired by LAN Chile. In 2016, LAN Chile has been renamed to LATAM Chile as a result of the LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines merger.

Baggage

Carry-on Baggage

You're entitled to one piece of carry-on baggage as long as it fits within 10kg (22lbs) for Economy Class, 16kg (35 lbs) for Premium Economy and Premium Business Class passengers. The carry-on baggage must also fit within 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm (21" x 13" x 9") in three dimensions including wheels and handle.

You are also entitled to a personal item which could be a purse, a laptop and a camera.

No prohibited items are allowed onboard and every item carried onboard are subjected to airport security.

Checked Baggage

Your checked baggage allowance depends on your route and the cabin class you travel in. Some fare classes may not be entitled to any checked baggage. Any baggage allowed by the airline must weigh less than 23kg (50lbs) and cannot be larger than 158cm (62") in total dimensions.

Frequent Flyer

LATAM Pass

You can earn and redeem points on its frequent flyer programme by flying with the airline. LATAM Pass gives you a wide range of benefits including additional baggage, free seat selection, priority boarding, flexible flight changes, etc.

Benefits you are entitled to depend on the category your membership belongs to. They are divided into five categories including GOLD, GOLD PLUS, PLATINUM, BLACK and BLACK SIGNATURE.

Oneworld Alliance

Oneworld Alliance is an airline alliance consisting of 14 members and 15 affiliate members. The alliance was formed in 1999 with American AirlinesBritish Airways, Canadian Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Qantas being the founding members.

LAN Express is an affiliate member of Oneworld meaning that you can still gain access to Oneworld member benefits and you can still get access to other partner airlines' lounges and assistance.

Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL), also known as Santiago International Airport and Nuevo Pudahuel Airport, it's located 15km (9 miles) from Santiago, Chile. It's the busiest international airport in the country. Two runways and a passenger terminal are equipped to accommodate the 8.5 million domestic and international passengers at the airport.
