The airline was founded in 2019 and initially planned to launch during autumn 2020. However, because of the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) was only issued in April 2020.
The airline is a low-cost carrier (LCC), based in and out of Abu Dhabi International Airport. Air Arabia and Etihad Airways set up a joint-venture to start the airline. Air Arabia also has other subsidiaries including Air Arabia Egypt, Air Arabia Maroc, Air Arabia Jordan. It is the first low-cost airline to be based at Abu Dhabi and will connect the city to even more destinations around the world.
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi offers the same value but high level of service as provided by Air Arabia.
The airline operates Airbus A320-200 aircraft and serves destinations in Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Armenia, India, Pakistan, Ukraine, Georgia and Saudi Arabia.

The airline offers all passengers a generous carry-on baggage allowance of 10 Kg. Hand baggage allowance per passenger must not exceed the following dimensions: 55cm x 40cm x 20cm (22in x 16in x 8in).
You can select your checked baggage weight while making your booking (20 Kg, 30 Kg or 40 Kg). Maximum weight permitted per individual piece of baggage is 32 Kgs. Checked baggage is not complementary and fees will apply, the price determined by your selected weight.
Online check-in is available for passengers. Passengers will need to check-in via the airline website and please prepare your reservation number and passport details for check-in.
You can also complete your check-in at the airport. It is important that you arrive no later than 2 hours prior to departure for international flights.
Passengers can pre-book hot meals, breakfast, salads and snacks online at affordable prices. Snacks and beverages can also be purchased during the flight. For entertainment, in-flight magazines provided. Duty-free shopping is available on selected routes.
The interior cabins are fitted with world-class comfort seats, with spacious economy cabin seat pitches of 32 inches.
As well as Economy, a Business Class cabin is available on select routes. The airline offers a variety of in-flight TV programmes showing a selection of movies, sporting adventures, comedy series and more. Business passengers can enjoy priority boarding and departure.

AirRewards is the name of the frequent flyer programme. Members can earn points when flying with the airline, purchasing ancillary revenue and spending with the programme's partners. Members can buy flights with the points earned or buy flights using both cash and points.
The airline is not part of any airline alliance. However, through Air Arabia, it does have codeshare agreements with airlines including Etihad Airways.
The airline operates with a fleet of Airbus A320s from its hub at Abu Dhabi. The Airbus A320 is also widely used across the Air Arabia network.
Abu Dhabi International Airport is the second largest airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). There are two parallel runways and consist of three passenger terminals. It is expected to serve 45 million passengers in the next 10 years.
