Initially, it's offering services to 6 destinations in 4 countries including the Bahamas, Cuba, Dominican Republic and the United States. A fleet of A320 family aircraft with a seating capacity of 180 passengers is serving these services. The airline is looking to add the capability of operating the Airbus 330 in the middle of 2022.

Baggage Policy

If you're planning to fly with Global Crossing Airlines, you'll need to know the baggage allowance rules for your flight.

Carry-on Baggage

You're entitled to a 7kg carry-on baggage on your flight. Carry-on items must not exceed the airline-permitted weight limit and they must fit within the overhead lockers and under the seat.

Any prohibited items including sharp items and any fluid exceeding 100ml aren't allowed onboard. You must check with the airline if you're unsure. All carry-on items will be inspected by airport security before going into the airside.

Any heavy or large items must be transported as checked baggage.

Checked Baggage

Your checked baggage allowance varies from route to route. If you're unsure, please check your e-ticket for more information.

Depending on the route you're travelling, you may have a baggage allowance ranging from no checked baggage allowance to 23kg (50lbs). However, there's an option to add excess baggage to your booking.

Please note that no checked baggage can exceed 32kg (70lbs) for health and safety reasons.

Airport Check-In

You should always report directly to the airport check-in counters when you arrive at the airport. At Alternative Airlines, we recommend that you arrive at the airport 2 hours before for domestic flights and 3 hours before for international flights. This is to avoid missing check-in.

The check-in area for the airline will be located on the departure information board at the airport. There'll be signs and labels to direct you to the check-in counters too.

If you're late for check-in, the airline reserves the right to refuse you to board the aircraft.
