Melbourne Airport (IATA: MEL) also known as Tullamarine Airport, is the cities main airport and the 2nd busiest in Australia serving 37 million passengers each year. The airport opened in 1970 and serves cities within the United States. The airport has in total four terminals: one international terminal, two domestic terminals and one budget domestic terminal.
The airport has direct flights to 33 domestic destinations as well as to destinations in the Pacific, Asia, Europe, North America and South America. Melbourne serves as the major hub for Qantas and Virgin Australia, were Jetstar Airways and Tigerair Australia use the airport as their home base.

Terminal 1 opened with Melbourne Airport in 1970 provides domestic and regional services for Qantas and QantasLink.
Terminal 2 opened in 1970 and manages all international, and some domestic, flights out of Melbourne Airport. The terminal has 20 gates with aerobridges. Cathay Pacific, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Etihad Airways, Singapore Airlines, Emirates and Air New Zealand all operate airline lounges in the terminal
Terminal 3 is home to Virgin Australia and used by Tigerair Australia. It has 11 parking bays served by single aerobridges and 8 parking bays not equipped with aerobridges.
Terminal 4 was known as the Domestic Express or South Terminal terminal. Terminal 4 is currently used by Regional Express Airlines, Jetstar, Tigerair Australia and Airnorth. 3 Gates fully dedicated to Virgin Australia.
