Alvir Airways is a newly launched airline, currently in the very early stages of start-up. As of August 2021, very little has been announced, besides the initial routes and fleets that the airline hopes to operate on. It is a domestic airline to be based in Pakistan. The airline will be operating from 3 locations, Islamabad the capital city of Pakistan, Lahore and Karachi.

Alvir Airways Pakistan is on a mission to help boost tourism within Pakistan and regional air access. The airline has plans to operate commercial scheduled passenger flights, connecting the capital and the big cities of Pakistan namely Punjab and Sindh with key tourist destinations, including Gilgit, Turbat, and Gwadar.

Baggage Policy

Alvir Airways has yet to release information around their baggage policy.

Carry-on Baggage

As Alvir Airways is in the primary stage of its start-up, it has yet to release information regarding its baggage allowance for passengers.

Checked Baggage

Unfortunately, this information has yet to be announced. In all instances, passengers must ensure that their baggage complies with the airline's policy, otherwise may face excess baggage fees at the airport. When you book your seats through Alternative Airlines, it is easy to add an additional baggage allowance to your booking (if permitted by the airline).

Cabin Classes

The airline has yet to release information about their cabin classes (Economy, Premium, or Business, for example) will be available, as well as what the onboard experience will be like.

Check-In

Alvir Airways is still in their early phases, so are yet to release details on whether they will offer online check-in or other check-in policies.

Online Check-in

It is not yet known whether online check-in is available.

Airport Check-in

Alvir Airways has yet to publish an announcement regarding recommended check-in times. However, in most instances, it is recommended that passengers arrive as early as possible, usually about 2 hours before scheduled departure.

The airline does not currently offer a frequent flyer program.

Destinations that Alvir Airways flies to

Alvir Airways will operate as a domestic carrier, connecting Islamabad with popular tourist regions. Initially, these destinations will be Gilgit, Turbat, and Gwadar.

Gilgit is another valley and a major tourist destination in Pakistan, serving as a hub for trekking in the Karakoram mountain range.

As well as being famed for its stunning scenery, Chitral (a town on the Chitral River) is a historical and cultural hub, holding numerous festivals and events.

Gwadar is a port city located on the shores of the Arabian Sea. Thanks to the city’s long sandy beaches, it attracts many domestic tourists each year.

Turbat is a stunning city packed with great history and leisure activities such as water sports.

Hub Airport

Islamabad International Airport

The new Islamabad International Airport (ISB) is the main international airport serving the city of Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The airport opened in 2018, to replace the now defunct Benazir Bhutto International Airport. The airport serves as the main hub for Pakistan International Airlines, the national flag carrier of Pakistan, and North Air. Other international airlines that operates at the airport include Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, Qatar Airways, China Southern Airlines, Kuwait Airways and Oman Air.

Fleet

The airline has yet to announce what aircraft it will operate when it begins flying. However, Alvir Airways seems to have expressed an interest in an Embraer E195 and E145, which is popular aircraft used by carriers around the world for short-haul flights.
