Buy Skytrans Airlines with Alternative Airlines

Skytrans (also known as Skytrans Cairns) was founded in October 1990 as a public charter airline. The airline is based at Cairns Airport operating to over 15 domestic destinations in Australia, with a few other charter services from Brisbane. A fleet of De Havilland Canada Dash 8-100 and Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft is serving these networks.

The airline began operations 3 years after it was established, then merged with AirSwift Aviation in 2000. In January 2015, the airline went into voluntary administration but Skytrans started operating again in March that year.

Skytrans Airlines passengers have the choice to check-in via the airport or online.

Online Check-in

Online check-in opens 24 hours before the flight. It is available via the airline website.

Any passenger who is travelling with an infant, special assistance or in groups of more than 10 in one booking cannot check-in online.

Please prepare your travel documents and your e-ticket for a smoother check-in.

Airport Check-in

Airport check-in counters close 30 minutes before the flight unless passengers are travelling from Lockhart River. Check-in closes 45 minutes before departure for Lockhart River.

Passengers must check-in before the check-in deadline. Failure to check-in on-time would result in the airline denying the passenger boarding.

Valid travel documents are essential to check-in too. These identifications could be a passport, driver licence, birth certificate or more.

Food & Drink

The flights are short-haul, but even so, water is available. In most instances, a snack, such as potato chips, is also offered.
