The airport opened in 1929 and serves cities within the United States. The airport has an area of 1,345 acres and owns two runways. Trenton–Mercer is the 3rd busiest airport in New Jersey with 236 aircraft operations on average per day. From May 2018, Trenton was the 5th rapidly growing airport in the US. It is a focus city for Frontier Airlines.
