Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, also known as Reagan National Airport, Washington National or Reagan Airport is an airport in Arlington, Virginia, serving the Washington area. The airport mainly facilitates domestic flights within the US but also has international flights to Canada.

The airport is one of three airports around the Washington area, along with Washington Dulles International Airport and BWI Marshall airport. Ronal Reagan Washington National is the closest airport in the US to Washington D.C.

Reagan National Airport is a secondary hub for American Airlines.

The airport's history dates back to 1926 and its most major expansion came in 1997, with the building or Terminal B and Terminal C.

Runways

The airport has three different runways — runway 01/19, runway 15/33 and runway 04/22.

Runway 01/19 (2,185 m x 46 m) is the main runway used for commercial flights at the airport. The runway is used in both directions and has no preference for take-off or departure.

Runway 15/33 (1586 m x 46 m) is rarely used but sometimes facilitates regional jets from smaller airlines.

Runways 04/22 (1,524 m x 46 m) is almost never used. It can be used to accommodate smaller aircraft when the wind conditions are extreme.

Terminals

The airport has three terminals, each lettered A–C, with a fourth — Terminal D — currently being built.

Terminal A

Terminal A is the older terminal of the existing three. It opened in 1945, was expanded in 1955 and underwent a major renovation in 2015, completely modernising the terminal and updating its look and facilities. Terminal A is mainly used by Air Canada Express, Frontier, and Southwest Airlines.

Terminal B

Terminal B opened in 1997 and was built and opened at the same time as Terminal C. The terminal has three concourses and accommodates flights from Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United, American Airlines and JetBlue.

There is an indoor bridge that connects Terminal B to Terminal C.

Terminal C

Terminal C opened in 1997, at the same time as Terminal B. The two terminals are connected by an indoor bridge.

Terminal C facilitates flights from American Airlines and JetBlue.

By driving

Parking and car rental facilities are available at the airport.

The airport can be reached off of the airport exit on Interstate 395 or the airport exit off route 1 south.

By bus

Metrobus operates a limited bus service with routes 13F&G, which only runs on Saturday and Sunday morning. These routes run from 5.50am–8.00am and connect downtown Washington, DC and other popular tourist areas with the road next to Terminal B.

By taxi

You can flag down a taxi in parts of Washington but it might be difficult in less-touristic areas. Therefore, it's best to pre-book a taxi, which can be done via phone or by getting the person(s) in charge of your accommodation to order the taxi for you.
