About Red Sea Airlines
Red Sea Airlines is an Egyptian airline founded in 2021 but hasn't yet launched services. The airline has stated that they intend to operate as a charter airline offering low-cost services directed at the tourism industry. As the airline hasn't formally launched yet there is limited information about them, such as which routes they may operate. However, it is expected that once services begin the airline will operate Boeing 737 aircraft in an all-economy layout.
Destinations
As the airline was only founded in February 2021 during the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, there hasn't been a demand for the airline to begin operations and so this has been deferred to 2022 at the earliest. Therefore, the airline hasn't stated which routes they intend to operate as of yet, however, they are expected to serve European and Middle-Eastern destinations.
Baggage Allowance
Red Sea Airlines hasn't yet stated its baggage policy, including checked luggage and hand baggage. Once the airline establishes routes it is expected that this will be published.
Travel Classes
Red Sea Airlines is anticipated to offer an all-economy service. The airline has previously mentioned that you will receive a warm inflight meal during the flight. The airline hasn't yet published information on ticket types, seat sizes or other inflight experiences.
Wifi & Entertainment
The airline states that their aircraft will be installed with either USB or sockets for your to charge your devices. As the airline is still in its infancy and hasn't formally launched services yet, it is unknown if they will also offer inflight entertainment or wifi.
Check-in Information
Online
The airline currently doesn't offer online check-in as they are not ticketing for flights as of yet. It is hoped once launched and their e-commerce site established this be an option.
At the Airport
As Red Sea Airlines hasn't yet formally begun operations it doesn't have check-in facilities at the airport either. This should change once the airline launches services.
Frequent Flyer Program
The airline currently doesn't have a frequent flyer program for you to subscribe to as it isn't operating services yet. It is unsure if the airline will offer this product as it intends to be a low-cost carrier.
Airline Alliances
Red Sea Airlines isn't part of an airline alliance, however, this could change once the airline begins operating services. However, the airline has some partnerships with travel companies in the region. The airline has links with Veneta Travel, Aqua Tour, Selena Travel, Gerso, Maratuk and Helentours.
Hub Airport
It is anticipated that the airline will base its operations out of Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport, however, as they haven't yet launched services this isn't confirmed. Sharm el-Sheikh International is a well-connected and busy airport with 3 terminal buildings. You can fly with Aeroflot, Air Astana, Azerbaijan Airlines, BH Air, Corendon Airlines, Easyjet, Flydubai, Gulf Air, Neos, Qatar Airways, S7 Airlines, TUI Airways, Wizz Air and many more. The airport has multiple car hire companies as well as airport transfer companies to help make the airport easily accessible to the wider region.
Fleet
Red Sea Airlines has indicated that they will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft for their services.
Alternative Airlines
Red Sea Airlines hasn't formally launched routes yet, so it may be recommendable to book with an alternative airline that can provide scheduled services. There are numerous airlines in Egypt and the surrounding areas for you to pick from.
