Greater Rochester International Airport (IATA code: ROC) is a public airport located near Rochester, New York.

The airport is owned and operated by Monroe County. Delta Air Lines has the largest passenger share at ROC, with approximately 30% of the airport's passengers flying on Delta Air Lines. Only domestic flights to destinations across America are available from the airport; a connecting flight will need to be made if you are heading to Rochester International Airport from an international destination.

Greater Rochester International Airport has recently undergone extension renovations, which were completed in 2018, and offers contemporary and modern facilities.

Location

The airport is located three miles (6 km) southwest of Rochester, in Monroe County, New York, United States.

Facilities Include:

Eating: There are a couple of options Airside and a couple of options Landside, providing snacks and light meals, including a Subway, Dunkin' Donuts, and Gusto. There are also vending machines for 24 hour snacks.

Shopping: Shopping options are limited to one store, a Hudson News store. Hudson News has a newsstand and sells traveller convenience products and traditional gifts, as well as New York and theme-orientated merchandise.

WiFi: Free WiFi is available throughout the terminal building.

ATMs: For cash withdrawal, ATMs can be found in the food court and baggage claim area.

Business Center: The Frontier Business Center provides a comfortable and quiet place to work, with workstations, and internet access. Telephones and data ports available for a fee. The center is located in Concourse A, Airside, and open 5:00am to 11:00pm.

Prayer Room: A 24-hour interfaith chapel is lcoated in Concourse A, Airside. Hours: 5:00am to 11:00pm.

Pet Relief Area: A pet relief area can be found Airside for service animals.

Postal Facilities: There is a post office outside the airport, and mailboxes are available within the terminal building.

Play Zones: The ROC Airport has partnered with The Strong National Museum of Play to bring passengers two interactive play zones to enjoy while awaiting departure. The World Video Game Hall of Fame exhibit is located near the entrance of Concourse B, and features an oversized Etch-A-Sketch, Twister, touch screen matching games, large construction vehicle and more. The National Toy Hall of Fame exhibit is located near the entrance of Concourse A, and features video games like Donkey Kong, Pong, Pac-Man an over-sized Lite-Brite. The food court is also equipped with tablets, which have games downloaded and are available for free for children.

TSA Precheck: TSA Precheck is available at Rochester Airport, for select passengers. Passengers travelling on JetBlue, Southwest, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, and who are eligible for TSA PreCheck, can enjoy the expedited screening benefits at ROC's centrally-located security checkpoint.

Terminals

The airport has a main terminal building that has two angled concourses with 22 gates.

Recent renovations, completed in 2018, have transformed the main terminal building. The terminal building saw numerous improvements, including a new and enlarged security checkpoint - with a TSA Pre-Check area added. The dining court area and retail spaces were enlarged in the central atrium, along with new seating spaces.

Departure Level

This level has the ticketing hall, security checkpoint, and post-security food court.

Arrivals Level

The arrivals level has baggage claim carousels, airline baggage offices, visitor information and car rental companies.

Concourse A (The Frederick Douglass Concourse): JetBlue, American and Southwest occupy this Concourse, using gates A1-A11.

Concourse B (The Susan B. Anthony Concourse): United, Delta and Allegiant use this concourse, using gates B1, B2, B2A, B3-B10.

How to get to Greater Rochester International Airport

By Bus

Rochester Transit Service (RTS) connects the airport to key locations throughout the Rochester metropolitan area. The one-way fare is $1.00 USD.

By Car Rental

A number of car rental agencies have onsite offices, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National.

By Taxi

Taxis can be picked up from the ground transportation area, during airport hours of operation. Taxis are metered.
