Buy Ultra Air with Alternative Airlines

UPDATE: Ultra Air ceased operations in March 2023. See alternative airlines that fly similar routes.

Ultra Air was a proposed airline in its early stages of startup. More information about the onboard experience, including class fares, ticket fares and baggage allowance was yet to be announced. Flights were expected to begin in the Summer of 2021.

In November 2020, Aeronáutica Civil (which is Colombia’s aviation regulator) announced the launch of a new low-cost carrier in the country — Ultra Air S.A.S. Aeronáutica Civil also stated that the carrier will have a hub in Rionegro Antioquia, a small city in the Colombian Andes.

Ultra Air was due to be launched by William Shaw, a famous businessman in Colombia who has extensive experience in aviation, including being one of the founders of the Colombian ultra-low-cost carrier Viva Air, a former CEO of Flycana in the Dominican Republic, a former member of the board at Green Africa Airways, as well as CEO of Mexican carrier Interjet.
