Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, often referred to as Manchester Airport, is an airport located mainly in Manchester, New Hampshire, United States. This airport is the busiest airport in New Hampshire, and New England's 4th-largest airport for passenger numbers, after the airports Boston Logan, Bradley International and T.F. Green.
The airport was first founded in 1927, with a new civilian terminal constructed in 1961, along with a new modern air traffic control tower. However, a new passenger terminal was built at a later date in 1994 and in 1978 the airport was renamed Manchester Airport. It wasn't until 2006 that the 'Boston Regional' was added to the airport name, to advertise the airport's closeness to Boston at only 50 miles south.
Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is located 3 miles south of the CBD of Manchester, New Hampshire. It is found on the border of Hillsborough and Rockingham counties, and also between the two communities of Manchester and Londonderry.
