Jonika Airlines is a Ukrainian full-service low-cost carrier, who is relatively young, founded in 2018 and started scheduled operations in 2019. The airline aims to provide a high-class service despite offering low prices to customers.
Kyove Zhuliany International Airport is the base of the airline, which also supports its operations with Boeing 737 aircraft. Other than flying its scheduled destinations to Greece, Italy and Albania, they also serve Bulgaria on charter flights.
Baggage Policy
Jonika Airlines operates different baggage policies for both checked and carry-on baggage.
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers are entitled to one 7kg hand baggage onboard and it cannot exceed 115cm in the sum of three dimensions including wheels and handles. Any passenger travelling with infants would receive an additional 10kg of carry-on baggage.
Sports equipment, bicycles, music instruments and pets can be transported with a fee as it doesn't include in the free baggage allowance.
Checked Baggage
Economy Class passengers receive between 23-25kg free baggage allowance, the exact allowance depends on the route, so please check on the e-ticket or information in the booking process or contact us if unsure. Business Class passengers are entitled to baggage not exceeding 32kg.
Any baggage exceeding 32kg won't be accepted by the airline due to international Health and Safety regulations.

Cabin Classes
Economy Class fares are divided into three categories including Promo, Eco and Flex. Economy and Business Class both have complimentary drinks and snacks provided onboard.
Promo
Promo is one of the three fare classes available for Economy Class. Tickets for this class is non-refundable and travel dates are fixed. It's the least flexible ticket out of the three.
Eco
Eco is one of the three fare classes available for Economy Class. Passengers booked Eco tickets can be refunded and changing travel dates with a fee.
Flex
Eco is one of the three fare classes available for Economy Class. This ticket class allows passengers to be refunded and date change for free. It is the most flexible fare class in Economy.
Business Class
Business class passengers receive extra legroom on the flight and it has complimentary food and drinks provided onboard. As stated in the 'Baggage Allowance' section, business class passengers receive more baggage allowance than Economy Class passengers.
Check-In
Jonika Airlines passengers must check-in for their flight once they arrive at the airport.
Online Check-in
Online check-in isn't available for the airline. All passengers must check-in at the airport.
Airport Check-in
Airport check-in counters open two hours before and close 40 minutes before the established scheduled departure time. Passengers who failed to report to check-in before the deadline would be classed as 'no-show' and may risk losing their seats.

Kyiv Zhuliany International Airport (IEV) is situated 7km from the city of Kyiv. It's one of the two airports that are serving the Ukrainian capital, Boryspil International Airport is the other airport in the area. Kyiv International Airport serves business aviation as well as accommodating scheduled passenger flights. 2.6 million passengers were served in 2019, with just one active runway and three passenger terminals.
