Tayaranjet ceased operations in 2021 and is no longer flying. Please take a look at our alternative airlines above who operate similar routes to Tayaranjet.
Tayaranjet was a Bulgarian airline that flew scheduled passenger flights and was based at Sofia Airport (SOF). Although it was registered in Bulgaria and based itself in the country's capital, the airline primarily offered flights to and around Italy. Overall, the airline flew to and from six destinations, five of which were in Italy.
Tayaranjet was founded in 2018 and initially operated flights within Italy on behalf of Ernest Airlines. The airline mainly flew to and from Milan and travelled to destinations such as Catania or any other destination that Ernest Airlines required it to fly within Italy. At that time, aside from the flights that it operated on behalf of Ernest Airlines, the airline also flew charter flights out of Sofia too.
In 2020, the airline launched its own flights, travelling to and around several destinations within Italy. Instead of using the main hub, Tayaranjet offered point-to-point flights, linking destinations that have a high demand for air travel.
Tayaranjet had different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.
Passengers could carry up to 8kg of carry-on baggage per person. This was given as free baggage, included in the price of the ticket. Carry-on baggage could not exceed the dimensions of 55cm (21.5") x 40cm (15.7") x 20cm (7.9").
In addition, passengers could carry a personal item onboard - this could be a purse, a blanket, a camera, an umbrella, a laptop, etc.
Passengers weren't given a free checked baggage allowance that was included in the price of their ticket. However, passengers could purchase up to a maximum of three checked bags, with each bag weighing a maximum of 20 kg per piece.
Passengers could share baggage if they were both within the same flight booking and if they dropped the baggage together at baggage drop at the airport.
Excess baggage could be added to the booking when booking with Alternative Airlines. This could be done during the booking process or by contacting our customer service team.
Economy Class was the only class that was on Tayaranjet planes. While the cabin was basic, with limited extra amenities, it was great value and perfect for short-flight times that travelled from A to B. The airline had a warm and friendly cabin crew that were professionally trained in passenger safety.
Seats were set out in a 3 x 3 formation. There were around 148 seats in the Economy cabin.
In-flight entertainment and WIFI weren't available on Tayaranjet. Although, on some flights, the airline provided each passenger with the latest edition of the airline's in-flight magazine.
Light snacks and drinks were available to purchase once in-flight. Due to short flight times, the airline didn't offer a full meal service.
Tayaranjet had different check-in closing and opening times depending on the method of check-in you selected.
Online check-in could be completed by visiting the Tayaranjet online check-in page and by entering the booking reference and last name attached to the flight. Online check-in wasn't available if a passenger had a non-EU passport/travel document.
Once checked in online, it was recommended that passengers arrive at the boarding gate with their boarding pass at least 30 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time.
Passengers could also check-in at the airport. This could be completed by visiting one of the airline check-in desks at the airport from which the flight was departing.
For airport check-in, it was recommended that passengers arrive at the check-in desk at least 60 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time. Passengers had to allow an extra 15 minutes if they had baggage to drop.
Before ceasing operations, Tayaranjet flew to six destinations overall, primarily in Italy.

Sofia Airport (SOF) is the main airport in Bulgaria and the airport in the country's capital, Sofia. While this is where Tayaranjet was officially based, the airline only offered scheduled flights to/from Sofia Airport to one other destination at this time. Tayaranjet primarily flew within Italy and, although it didn't have a single main hub within the country, it connected Bologna with most of the other destinations within its route network.
Although the airline didn't offer many scheduled flights from Sofia Airport, it did fly charter flights from there too.
Sofia Airport is currently a hub for Bulgaria Air, Ryanair, GullivAir and Wizz Air.
Tayaranjet's fleet was made up entirely of Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The airline used Boeing aircraft since it launched in 2018. It used this aircraft type for both flights operated by itself and by Ernest Airlines.
