EastAfrican is the new name and branding for Fly-Sax. The airline was founded as East African Safari Air but was rebranded to Fly-SAX after being bought out by Fly540. As of 2020, the airlines has the trading name of EastAfrican.com, and is known as EastAfrican.
The airline is based at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International (NBO) and provides domestic scheduled flights within Kenya. As of 2020, the airline flies to 14 destinations and operates 17 scheduled flights.

Each passenger is permitted 1 standard piece of hand baggage to a volume limit of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm and limited to 5kgs in weight.
Checked Baggage
Each passenger also has a free allowance of standard checked-in hold baggage to a maximum weight of 20kgs. PLEASE NOTE: For safari destinations, serviced by smaller aircraft, the maximum baggage allowance is in total 15kg (including hand luggage) per passenger. In addition, only soft cases are permitted. Additional luggage is subject an excess charge of $150 per kg.

The airline asks passengers to check-in no later than 40 minutes prior to departure of domestic flights and 2 hours prior to departure for international flights. Boarding gates close 10 minutes prior to departure.

Currently, East African offers one class fare on its flights: the standard Economy. The airline's professionally team will be on-hand to help throughout the duration of the flight.
What are the Seats Like?
The Economy Class cabin has comfortable and spacious seating with a good amount of legroom. Seats are set out in either a 2 x 3 or 3 x 3 formation.
There is no onboard entertainment system. Customers are welcome to bring their own digital devices with them for entertainment.
The airline serves a range of complimentary light refreshments. Light refreshments, including bottled water and sandwiches, are available on all flights. For regional routes, within Comoros, the airline also provides breakfast and/or lunch.
Please note: Due to restrictions imposed by the Kenya Airports Authority, passengers are not permitted to board the aircraft with their own food/drink.

EastAfrican flies from its base at Wilson Airport (WIL). WIL is domestic airport in Nairobi, from which a small number of airlines fly to domestic and regional destinations within Kenya.
Other airlines that operate from Wilson Airport include Airkenya Express, Safarilink, Fly Tristar and Freedom Airline Express.
Top Tip: Nairobi's primary airport is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). As well as a limited number of domestic flights, the majority of international flights to Kenya will land and depart from NBO airport.
