About Dana Air

Based out of Lagos's Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Dana Air is a Nigerian airline offering domestic flights within Nigeria. The airline began its flying operations in November 2008, and has developed its route network since.

The airline aims to bring to its customers the best bits of legacy carriers, from great safety and quality of on board service, but with the operational efficiency of the newer, low-cost carriers.

Although the majority of its services are domestic and regional flights on their Boeing McDonnell 83 and Boeing B737-500 aircraft, they also offer executive charter flights using their Bombardier Learjet 45XR.

 


 

Dana Air Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

Dana Air allow one piece of carry-on luggage per person, free of charge. This must be a maximum of 6kgs in weight or less and must fit within the measurements of 45cm x 33cm x 20cm.

Checked Baggage

Dana Air allow one piece of checked luggage free of charge. For Business Class passengers the total maximum weight is 30kg, and for Economy Class the total maximum weight is 23kg.

Infants have a checked baggage allowance of a maximum of 10kg in weight.

Excess Baggage

Dana Air allow one piece of carry-on luggage per person, free of charge. This must be 8kgs in weight or less and must fit within the measurements of 23 x 40 x 51cm.

Dana Air sponsor Africa's first cabin crew contest

Dana Air is to sponsor a new cabin crew contest which will place aspiring cabin crew professionals as contestants in a competition that will train and test their skills on how to be cabin crew. The contest has been put together by the Crew Training Institute, who approached Dana Air to be a sponsor.

Auditions for the contest will take place on 1st November 2018. Contestants will go through a thorough screening process before selection. The winner of the competition will land a job as cabin crew, full training at the Crew Training Institute, as well as a trip to South Africa where they will live life as a cabin crew member. 

COO of Dana Air, Mr Obi Mbanuzo stated that the airline is proud to be the main sponsor in Africa's first ever cabin crew contest. He believes that this is just another demonstration of the airlines' positive effect on the aviation industry.

CEO of the Crew Training Institute, Katheryn Lademo, stated that the CTI is grateful for Dana Air's sponsorship in a contest that will promote youth development and job creation for young people who are looking to kick-start a career in the aviation industry.
