Air Peace is a Nigerian airline that offers both scheduled passenger and charter flights across Nigeria and beyond. The airline is based at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos (LOS), and flies domestically within Nigeria but also offers a small number of international services to other parts of Africa. Popular domestic routes include Lagos to KanoLagos to Benin City, and Lagos to Abuja, while some of its international services connect Lagos to cities like Sharjah, Johannesburg and Accra, among others. Although many of its international destinations are still within its long-term route network, it has temporarily suspended a number of its flights, both domestic and international.

Air Peace has a long-term goal to expand its route network to fly to more destinations within Nigeria, as well as major cities internationally. The airline has stated that along with giving Nigeria better connectivity across the world, one of the major ideas behind the genesis of Air Peace is to create more jobs for people in Nigeria. Through 2022 the airline is launching a number of new routes to new destinations in Nigeria.

Baggage Policy

Air Peace has different rules regarding baggage allowance depending on the route you're travelling and the cabin class you're flying in. Keep reading to find out all the weight and dimension limits for your baggage that you need to follow.

Carry-on Baggage

Economy Class

On domestic and regional flights, you're permitted 1 piece of carry-on baggage weighing no more than 6kg (13 lbs).

On international flights, you're permitted 1 piece of carry-on baggage weighing no more than 7kg (15 lbs).

No matter your destination, your carry-on baggage must be within the dimensions of 45 x 33 x 20 cm (17.7 x 13 x 7.8 inches).

Business Class

On domestic and regional flights, you're permitted 1 piece of carry-on baggage weighing no more than 10kg (22 lbs).

On international flights, you're permitted 1 piece of carry-on baggage weighing no more than 14kg (30 lbs).

No matter your destination, your carry-on baggage must be within the dimensions of 45 x 33 x 20 cm (17.7 x 13 x 7.8 inches).

In addition, on all flights, passengers can also carry one small hand, laptop or purse in addition to their carry-on allowance.

Checked Baggage

Economy Class

You're entitled to 20kg of checked baggage on domestic flights, 30kg on regional flights, and 23kg (per bag, two bags allowed) on international flights.

Business Class

You're entitled to 40kg of checked baggage on Domestic and Regional flights, and 32kg (per bag, two bags allowed) on international flights.

Infants

Infants pay 10% of the adult's ticket and have a maximum checked baggage allowance of 10kg on all flights, no matter which class they're flying in. This can be either checked or carry-on.

Cabin Classes

The airline offers three cabin classes: Economy, Premium Economy and Business

Economy Class

Economy Class provides passengers with comfort at a great price. The airline is a full-service carrier, meaning that benefits such as baggage allowance are included in the price of the ticket. Flying in this class is relaxing yet simple; there is everything you need to have an enjoyable flight from comfortable seats to great service. Enjoy spacious seating, with plenty of personal space, adjustable lighting, and fold-down trays. There is an in-flight magazine for entertainment.

Seats are set out in a 1 x 2, 2 x 2 or 3 x 3 configuration on short hall flights.

Premium Economy

New to 2021, and available on select routes only, including flights to Sharjah. Passengers can enjoy enhanced comfort, including fully-reclining seats, cushions and pillows, more culinary options, and priority check-in/boarding. Although it's named Premium Economy. This cabin is a lot more like a First Class or Business Class cabin, with 180-degree lie-flat seats.

Seats are set out in a 2 x 2 configuration.

Business Class

The inflight experience includes a meal. Enjoy comfortable seating with extra space. In-flight entertainment will depend on the flight route.

'Alice Mag' is the in-flight magazine of Air Peace. The magazine is updated every month and offers the latest news about Travel & Tours, News & Entertainment, Fashion and Health Tips.

WiFi

Wi-Fi isn't currently available onboard Air Peace flights.

Check-In

Online and airport check-in is available for Air Peace flights. The opening and closing times for check-in will vary depending on your destination.

Online Check-in

Online check-in can be completed by visiting the Air Peace online check-in page and click on the 'Online Check-in' tab. From there, passengers must enter their surname and booking reference to complete web check-in for their Air Peace flight. Online check-in is available from 48 hours up until two hours before the scheduled flight departure time.

Passengers are recommended to check in online as it'd save time from queuing at the airport. Passengers who don't check in online must check in at the airport.

Airport Check-in

Airport check-in can be completed by visiting an Air Peace check-in agent at the Air Peace check-in counters. Airport check-in times are as follows:

Regional flights: opens 2 hours before and closes 30 minutes before the scheduled flight departure.

Domestic flights: opens 3 hours before and closes 60 minutes before the scheduled flight departure.

International flights: opens 4 hours before and closes 75 minutes before the scheduled flight departure.

Failure to check in on time may result in the loss of a ticket. The airline has the right to deny boarding. At Alternative Airlines, we recommend passengers arrive at the airport two to three hours before the scheduled departure time.

Frequent Flyer Program

Peace Advantage

Peace Advantage is the airline’s loyalty program, where members earn peace points which can be redeemed for air travel or other rewards. To become a member passengers will need to have flown with Air Peace three or more times. You can enrol through the airline’s website. Any passenger over the age of 16 can register to be a member of Peace Advantage. No registrations are accepted for ages between 0 and 16. In order to claim a one-way Economy Class ticket, you must have 25,000 points and to receive a Business Class ticket you must earn 40,000 points.

In 2022 the airline entered a commercial alliance with other Nigerian carriers, including Azman Air, Arik Air, Aero Contractors, United Nigeria, and MaxAir. The aim of the new alliance, which is called Spring Alliance, is to improve service delivery and reduce flight delays.

Lagos Airport also known as Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) is an international airport situated in Ikeja, Nigeria and is the hub airport for Air Peace. Murtala Muhammed International is the main airport in Lagos State. Built in 1947, the airport has two terminals, which are located about one kilometre from each other.— an international and domestic — which operate with a shared runway. The airport currently serves over 30 different airlines that fly either domestically or internationally.

Air Peace enters the newly launched Spring Alliance in Nigeria

A newly launched airline alliance, called Spring Alliance, aims to improve service delivery and decrease delays for customers travelling within Nigeria. The members include Air Peace, Azman Air, Arik Air, Aero Contractors, United Nigeria, and MaxAir. According to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), more than half of the 74,000 domestic flights in Nigeria in 2021 were delayed. The alliance will offer more protection to customers when one airline is delayed.

Air Peace is the first airline in Africa to add new E195-E2 to its fleet

Air Peace is making history by being the first airline in Africa to add brand new E195-E2 aircraft to its fleet. The first of 13 commercial jets were delivered from Embraer. The airline has plus purchase rights for 17 in total. The E195-E2 is a 124-seat capacity jet which offers a superior travel experience, including more comfort, more privacy and more space.

New to 2021, and available on select routes only, including flights to Dubai, Air Peace has introduced a new cabin class. By choosing to upgrade from economy to premium, passengers can enjoy enhanced comfort, including fully-reclining seats, cushions and pillows, more culinary options, and priority check-in/boarding.

When will Air Peace resume international flights?

Air Peace has already resumed international flights. The airline temporarily suspended all international flights due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. But, in 2021, it began flying many international routes again, including flights to Accra, Johannesburg and Sharjah.

Where does Air Peace fly to?

Air Peace is a domestic and international airline, operating flights between all major cities within Nigeria, as well as internationally to neighbouring African countries, as well as to the United Arab Emirates.

Who is the owner of Air Peace?

Air Peace was founded in 2019 by a Nigerian lawyer and businessman, name Allen Onyema. The CEO claimed that he initially started the airline with the intention of using it as an engine to provide economic opportunities to Nigerian youth.

Which terminal does Air Peace fly from in Lagos Airport?

Air Peace is now operating flights to Terminal MM2 as well as MM1. Air Peace doesn't have a defined terminal at Lagos Airport (LOS) as Air Peace operates flights from both terminals. We recommend that you check your itinerary and the terminal from which your flight will be flying well in advance before your flight as each flight is different.
