Buy your flights now and pay them back at a later date when you select Lipa Later at checkout. We sell flights from more than 600 airlines and allow you to pay later with Lipa Later no matter where in the world you're flying.
Lipa Later is available in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Nigeria. The different options and plans available will differ depending on which country you're buying from. Although each plan is different, what they all have in common is that they don't require you to pay the full cost of your ticket at the time of purchase. Instead, you can spread the cost over several instalments and pay back over time!
Here are the different payment plans available in each country:
Kenya
Pay for your flights in monthly instalments, with the 1st payment made 30 days after you book your flight.
Rwanda
Pay 10% of your flight upfront at the time of booking. Then, pay the rest back in monthly instalments over 12 months.
Uganda
Pay 10% of your flight upfront at the time of booking. Then, pay the rest back in monthly instalments over 12 months.
Nigeria
Pay in monthly instalments of up to 12 months, with the 1st payment made 30 days after you book your flight.
How To Buy Flights With Lipa Later
Follow the simple steps below to buy your next flight with Alternative Airlines and pay with Lipa Later:
- Enter the destinations that you want to fly between, the dates you want to travel on and the number of people flying. Search for your flights
- We'll display all flights available for your search. Pick the one that looks good for you.
- Once you've entered the details of each passenger for the flight, select Lipa Later at checkout.
- Lipa Later will ask you to fill in a small number of details so that they can verify you and check if you're eligible to take out one of their payment plans. If approved, your flight will be confirmed and your e-ticket will be sent to you. You just need to pay off your flight in monthly instalments, according to your payment plan.

Over what period do my flights need to be paid back?
In Rwanda and Uganda, payment plans are 12 months long. In Kenya and Nigeria, payment plans are up to 12 months long, meaning that they can be over 12 months or fewer.
Is Lipa Later available worldwide?
Lipa Later is currently only available to use in Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda.
Do I need to be a certain age to use Lipa Later?
You must be aged 18 or over in order to use Lipa Later.
