Azman Air Have Temporarily Ceased Operations.

Please be aware that as of August 1, 2024 Azman Air furloughed all employees except for eight managers, and are not currently trading. They have however committed to resuming operations shortly, and say that the temporary pause was necessary to ensure safety and reliability for passengers. Baggage Policy

Azman Air has different baggage rules for carry-on and checked baggage. Scroll down to find out more about Azman Air's baggage rules.

Carry-on Baggage

Azman Air passengers are allowed to take hand baggage in the cabin only if the luggage does not exceed 10kg, and it doesn't surpass 15cm x 25cm x 37cm dimension. Additionally, passengers are also allowed to carry a purse, handbag or laptop onboard their flight.

Checked Baggage

Azman Air allows passengers to check-in up to 20 kg of checked baggage for Economy Class passengers and 30 kg for Business Class passengers. Infants are allowed 10 kg. If your baggage is more than the free baggage allowance you will be charged a fee.

Checked baggage heavier than 32 kg will not be accepted by the airline because of international health and safety regulations. It would have to be transported as cargo or split into two pieces of checked baggage.

Economy Class

Economy Class Facilities

The airline operates small flights on its Boeing 737-300 and Boeing 737-500 and offers a standard economy class. The airline gives you amenities such as the one free checked piece of baggage, refreshments, meals, drinks and the option of choosing your seat.

Economy Seats

Seats are positioned in a 3 x 3 formation depending on the aircraft, ensuring that each passenger will sit by either a window, aisle or both.

Business Class

Business Class Facilities

You'll receive more comfort in business class, ranging from the legroom, variety of meals to choose from and among other amenities.

Business Seats

Azman Air’s Airbus A340 has two business class seats are located at the front of the economy cabin with a seat configuration of 2-4-2. The airline offers comfortable padded leather seats with ample storage space.

In-flight Entertainment & WIFI

The airline provides an in-flight magazine, 'Fly Safe', for passengers to enjoy a read onboard their flight. Please note that there is no entertainment system, but passengers are welcome to bring their own digital devices on-board.

Check-In

Azman Air passengers can check in online for a quick and easy airport journey.

Online Check-in

Online check-in is available from 24 hours before the scheduled departure time to two hours before the scheduled departure time. Online check-in is available via the Azman Air website. Passengers would need its booking reference and travel document details in order to proceed with online check-in.

Airport Check-in

Azman Air should check-in passengers 2 hours before their scheduled departure as check-in closes 30 minutes for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights before scheduled departure time. When checking in, it's important to ensure to have the required documentation as well as photo identification. For international flights, you will also need to show your valid passport.

Children must have a parent present at check-in, while tickets must be in the passenger’s name. Not doing any of the above may prevent you from not getting to onto your flight. In such instances, you will not receive any compensation.

Frequent Flyer Programme

The airline is doesn't currently have a frequent flyer program.

Azman Air allows children between the ages of 5 and 12 to travel without an adult. Please note that if your child needs to travel solo they must provide all the necessary documentation.

Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (KAN) is a public airport in Kano, Nigeria and serves the northern Nigeria region. The airport serves almost 400,000 passengers a year. The main terminal with the control tower operates international flights as well as domestic services. Facilities in this airport are minimal. however, there is a small VIP lounge for business class travellers.

Azman Air Services Limited, more commonly known as 'Azman Air', is a Nigerian domestic airline with a hub base in Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (KAN). The airline has scheduled return flights domestically from Lagos to Kano, Abuja, Kaduna, Kebbi, Gombe, Yola, Maiduguri, Portharcourt, and several other domestic destinations.

The airline was founded in 2010 and commenced operations in 2014 with its first flight to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (ABV). Azman Air has dominated domestic and international airline carriers by offering passengers cheap and comfortable flights to destinations across Nigeria.

Azman Air operates several Boeing aircraft for its domestic services which can carry over 1,000 passengers at one time.

When did Azman Air resume/cease operations?

Azman Air resumed domestic flights in Nigeria on April 4, 2024, after suspending operations in August 2023. The suspension was due to maintenance that took longer than expected. The first return flight between Kano and Lagos was on April 5, 2024. However, they once again ceased operations on August 1st of 2024 due to safety and operational concerns. They are expected to begin trading again soon.
