SKS Airways is a Malaysian regional, leisure, commuter and charter airline founded in 2017 and began services in 2022. The airline was the first of two new airlines to begin operating in Malaysia in 2022 - the second being ultra-low-cost MYAirline which has now successfully launched. SKS Airways aims to link Malaysian cities which are currently unserved or underserved to other cities and island destinations across the country. The airline is headquartered in Johor Bahru with its hub of operations being Senai International Airport. The airline operates a fleet of DHC6-300 Twin Otter aircraft for these regional routes with plans to further grow and offer international services.
Other than offering flights, SKS Airways offers travel packages, called SKS Xplore, in partnership with a variety of tourism-focused partners.
Baggage Policy
There are different baggage policies for each type of baggage - Carry-On or Checked.
Carry-on Baggage
SKS Airways allows all passengers to bring 1 item of cabin baggage on board the aircraft with them. This must fit the airline's maximum dimensions of 23cm x 33cm x 33cm and not exceed 3kg.
Checked Baggage
You are also allowed to bring 1 item of checked luggage with you. However, due to the size of the airline's aircraft, these should weigh less than 7kg. If travelling with an infant you are allowed to bring a collapsable buggy weighing up to 7kg plus one checked case being smaller than 115cm and taken as additional hand luggage.
Cabin Classes
The airline only offers an economy class product onboard their aircraft, with all passengers receiving the same seat and onboard service. However, the airline offers 2 ticket types available for purchase on all flights 'SKS Lite' and 'SKS Plus'. Passengers on an SKS Lite ticket are entitled to the airline's baggage policy and receive their reserved seat upon checking in for the flight. SKS Plus passengers receive the same benefits as Lite customers as well as Sky Lounge access on departures from Kuala Lumpur Subang Airport.
Check-In
SKS Airways offer its passengers the option to check-in online before they arrive at the airport or alternatively, check-in at the airport.
Online Check-in
SKS Airways does offer online check-in facilities via its official website. The airline opens check-in 24 hours prior to departure. If travelling with checked luggage simply head to one of the airline's check-in desks at the airport to drop it off if checked in online.
Airport Check-in
The airline offers airport check-in facilities which open 1 hour 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. The airline also states that they will shut these facilities 30 minutes before departure.
Food & Drink
Currently, SKS Airways doesn't offer complimentary drinks and snacks onboard and a purchasable service is not provided. We recommend bringing snacks with you or purchasing these after security before your flight.
In-Flight Entertainment
As the airline operates small regional aircraft personal inflight entertainment and wifi facilities haven't been installed. An inflight magazine may be provided but we recommend that you bring your own entertainment to keep you occupied during the flight.

Hub Airport
Senai International Airport
Senai International Airport is an airport in south Malaysia, close to the Singapore border. The airport has a capacity to handle around 4.5 million passengers annually and will act as the primary hub for SKS Airways. The airport is also served by AirAsia, Firefly, Malaysia Airlines and Malindo Air to a range of destinations across Malaysia including Kuala Lumpur KLIA, Kuala Lumpur Subang, Penang, Ipoh, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu, Sibu and more. The airport is served by 3 national highway routes linking it to the region as well as to Singapore. Bus services also connect the airport to central Senai as well as Singapore.
Although the airline has stated that Senai International Airport will be their hub base, currently the majority of services depart from Kuala Lumpur Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, the former international airport for Kuala Lumpur.
Fleet
SKS Airways currently operates a fleet of DHC6-300 Twin Otter aircraft. It has 2 of these aircraft and has 2 more on order. Each aircraft can seat up to 19 passengers.
The airline plans to operate a fleet of ATR 72-500s in addition to its current fleet of DHC 6-300s. These aircraft will be used for cargo operations in the future.

The airline isn't part of any airline alliance, however, it is a member of the Malay/Australian SKS group which also operates in the property and hospitality sectors.
