nordica is the Estonian flag carrier, headquartered in Tallinn, with Tallinn Airport being its central hub. The company was founded in September 2015 after the liquidation of the previous national carrier Estonian Air. The name nordica relates to the brands allegiance to northern Europe and is also in conjunction with the previous name, Nordic Aviation Group. In 2016, a partnership was formed with LOT Polish Airlines. Most flights are marketed by LOT, who own 49% of shares in the company.

Thanks to LOT Polish Airlines partnership with Star Alliance, nordica passengers can collect points and use them in the Miles & More program. This is a loyalty program whose members earn miles for LOT/nordica flights and redeem them for valuable awards. Registration is free and miles can be earned straight away. Program members earn miles for flying with all Star Alliance airlines and can then redeem them for flight tickets and rewards offered by more than 300 non-airline partners such as hotels and shops, as well as for upgrades.
Nordica is based at Tallin Airport which is the largest airport in Estonia. The airport is open to both domestic and international flights and is located around 3 miles southeast of the center of the city of Tallinn.
