As a subsidiary of Avianca, Aviateca's (now known as Avianca Guatemala) carry-on baggage allowance is as follows:
The number of items depends on whether the passenger is part of a frequent flyer scheme (such as LifeMiles or the Star Alliance Frequent Flyer program) or not.
Each item, whether the passenger is flying on domestic or international routes, and regardless of class flown, must be of a maximum total length of 115 cm (45 inches) - combined height, length and width.
Additional permitted items include a coat, a photo or video camera, a personal bag, a hat, a personal computer (in its case), or a briefcase. There is also an allowance for special-use items - these include baby strollers (buggies), medical equipment, foldable personal-use wheelchairs, and orthopaedic devices, such as crutches and canes.
