For both domestic and international flights, passengers are allowed 1 piece of luggage weighing a total of 10kg or less. The combined dimensions must be no more than 115cm (55 x 40 x 25cm).

In addition, passengers are permitted one personal item. For example, items such as a laptop case, handbag, umbrella or camera.

For domestic flights, passengers travelling premium class are permitted 40kg of free luggage, and economy class passengers are permitted 20kg of free luggage. The baggage must fit within the combined linear dimensions of 203cm.

For international flights, checked baggage must fit within 158cm for the total linear dimensions, but weight and number of pieces are allocated by class travelling as follows:

• First Class passengers are permitted 3 pieces of luggage, each weighing up to 32kg.
• Business Class passengers are permitted 2 pieces of luggage, each weighing up to 32kg.
• Economy Class and Premium Economy Class are permitted 2 pieces of luggage, each weighing up to 23kg.

Economy Class offers a simple but comfortable journey and is Air Japan's most basic cabin class on offer. 

Economy Class Facilities

Economy Class flights give passengers access to the airline's in-flight entertainment system, which can be accessed through a touch-screen personal monitor that is fitted to each seat. 

Depending on the route flown, passengers can also enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks and will always be able to order refreshments of some kind from the airline's in-flight menu. 

On long-haul flights, passengers are given pillows and blankets.

Economy Class Seats

As well as a personal tv screen fitted, each seat also comes equipped with a USB and power charging port. Seats are usually set out in a 3 x 3 formation and each seat has a pitch of 34 inches. 

For just a little extra price, Premium Economy upgrades the Economy experience and gives passengers more space and comfort, with some other added extras.

Premium Economy Facilities

Passengers in Premium Economy are able to order food and drink from the airline's premium in-flight menu.

In addition, on long-haul flights, passengers are given a premium amenity kit, which includes a pillow, blanket, slippers, toothbrush, eye mask and ear plugs.

Passengers also have access to the same in-flight entertainment system as Economy Class, which can be accessed to the personal screen fitted to their seat.

What are Premium Economy Seats Like?

Premium Economy seats are usually set out in a 2 x 4 x 2 formation. Seats give 38 inches of pitch, are reclinable and come with an adjustable headrest. Each seat has a USB and power port and comes with a personal touch-screen TV fitted. 

Business Class is a luxurious cabin class that gives passengers the option to relax, rest or catch-up with work in a personal area. 

Business Class Facilities

Each passenger is given a Business Class amenity kit which comes with a fluffy pillow, soft blanket, as well as an overnight kit which includes a toothbrush, face wash, creams, lotions, an eye mask and ear plugs.

Each Business Class seat is fitted with a personal 18-inch screen, from which passengers can access the airline's in-flight entertainment system to watch TV shows, films and other entertainment. Each passenger is given noise-cancelling headphones to use with the in-flight entertainment.

Business Class passengers are offered an exceptional dining experience, with a menu that has a choice of both Japanese and Western food. 

What are Business Class Seats Like?

Business Class seats are usually set out in either a 1 x 2 x 1 or a 2 x 2 x 2 formation. Business Class seats are reclinable, and — depending on the route flown — can transform into a lie-flat bed. 

Depending on the aircraft, Business Class seats have between 50–62 inches of pitch and 20–21.5 inches of width.

What does First Class include?

First Class seats are set out in a 1 x 2 x 1 formation. These formations are designed to ensure that each passenger is seated by the aisle. Each seat comes with an adjustable dining and cocktail table, which can be used to enjoy the airline's First Class dining experience on or as a personal workspace. 

Each First Class seat has a personal storage compartment and comes with shutters to give maximum privacy. 

Is There a First Class Lounge?

Yes, Air Japan passengers are given access to the ANA lounge at Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita airports. The First Class lounge is available to First Class and Business Class passengers are comes with a full dining experience as well as quiet rooms for relaxation. 

Air Japan passengers may be eligible for online check-in if their flight is operated on behalf of ANA. ANA offers SKiP Service, where passengers can complete their reservation to skip the airport check-in process and head straight to security. Passengers who have not completed check-in online must check-in at the airport desk. This must be completed 30 minutes prior to departure for international flights, and 20 minutes before flying for domestic flights.
