About Venice Marco Polo Airport

Venice Marco Polo Airport is an international airport located in Venice, Italy. The airport features flights to many European cities, but also to some long-haul destinations in the United States, Canada, South Korea and also the Middle East. The airport is named after Marco Polo, a Venetian merchant, traveller and explorer.

In 2018, the airport handled 11,184,608 passengers, with 95,414 aircraft movements. These numbers made it the fourth-busiest airport in Italy. VCE airport is located on the mainland of Venice, about 8km north of Tessera.

How to get to Venice Marco Polo Airport

By Road

If you are coming to Venice airport by car, you can access it from the A4 motorway towards Venice., then the Venezia Mestre toll (Barriera) and then the ring road towards the airport.
