Venice Marco Polo Airport is an international airport located in Venice, Italy. The airport features flights to many European cities, but also to some long-haul destinations in the United States, Canada, South Korea and also the Middle East. The airport is named after Marco Polo, a Venetian merchant, traveller and explorer.
In 2018, the airport handled 11,184,608 passengers, with 95,414 aircraft movements. These numbers made it the fourth-busiest airport in Italy. VCE airport is located on the mainland of Venice, about 8km north of Tessera.

There is one small terminal building at this airport, which was completed and opened in 2002. It has three floors, with the ground floor dedicated to arrivals, and the second for departures. There is 70 check in desks at the terminal, and the departure gates are sorted into Schengen and non-Schengen flights.

If you are coming to Venice airport by car, you can access it from the A4 motorway towards Venice., then the Venezia Mestre toll (Barriera) and then the ring road towards the airport.
The airport is connected to the railway station of Venice Mestre, which connects to Milan, Padua, Trieste and Verona. The airport is also connected to the Piazzale Roma bus terminal, which connects to destinations within Venice.
From the third floor of the main terminal, you can rent a car using one of the many car rental companies, including Europcar, Hertz, Maggiore and Auroeuropa.
