Buy Solaseed Air Flights with Alternative Airlines

Solaseed Air is a Japanese passenger airline. The airline is based at Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) and offers domestic flights within Japan, flying to over 10 destinations across the country. As well as its main base in Tokyo, the airline also has a secondary hub at Naha Airport (OKA), from which it offers regular flights.

Because it's based at Tokyo Haneda, Solaseed Air is a great domestic airline choice for those wanting to connect to another Japanese or international airline that's flying in or out of the country. Or, simply to travel around Japan in a quick, safe and comfortable way.

The airline was first founded in 1997 under the name 'Pan Asia Airlines and flew its first flight some years later, in 2002. In 2011, the airline rebranded itself as Solaseed Air, which is what it flies as today. The airline has only ever offered domestic flights, although, after it expands its domestic route network, it plans to offer flights to other parts of Asia too.

Solaseed Air is a subsidiary of All Nippon Airways.

Baggage Policy

Solaseed Air has different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.

Carry-on Baggage

Solaseed Air's baggage policy means that passengers are allowed to bring one item of free carry-on baggage on the flight. This baggage must not weigh more than 10 kg and must fit within the dimensions of 55 cm (21.5") x 40 cm (15.5") x 25 cm (9.5").

In addition to this, passengers can carry a personal item, such as a handbag, laptop and bag, small backpack or any other item of a similar size.

Checked Baggage

Passengers are allowed to bring 20 kg of free checked baggage with them on the flight. Solaseed Air's baggage policy says there's no limit on the number of bags a single passenger can check, however, the total weight of these bags cannot exceed 20 kg and each bag must fit within the dimensions of 203 cm overall (79.5").

Cabin Classes

The airline only has one cabin — Economy Class. The cabin is clean and comfortable, with a service very similar to domestic flights on its parent company, ANA. The Solaseed Air cabin crew are professionally trained and very friendly — they're able to assist with anything that you might need during the flight. The cabin has large storage compartments to store carry-on baggage, as well as LED mood lighting for a relaxed journey.

Seats

Seats are set out in a 3 x 3 formation and give plenty of room for each passenger. Seats have an average pitch of 81 cm (32").

In-flight Entertainment & WIFI

Due to the short flight times, there's no in-flight entertainment system installed on Solaseed Air flights. However, passengers will be given an in-flight magazine, subject to availability.

Food & Drink

Passengers are served a complimentary drink on all Solaseed Air flights. In addition to this, they may be offered a light snack, such as soup. However, this is only offered on certain routes.

Check-In

Solaseed Air passengers must check in at the airport since the airline doesn't offer online check in.

Online Check-in

Solaseed Air doesn't offer online check-in for any of its flights.

Airport Check-in

Passengers must check in at the airport by visiting one of the check-in agents at the check-in desk. All passengers must arrive in good time, so as to not miss the check-in deadline. Typically, check-in opens 2 hours before the scheduled departure time and it's advised you arrive no later than 30-45 minutes before your departure.
