About Sky Bahamas

Sky Bahamas was a scheduled passenger carrier airline that operated flights in and around the Bahamas. The airline was founded in 2006 after the acquisition of Sky Unlimited but didn’t start its flying operations until 2008 with flights to Exuma from its base in Nassau, Bahamas. Also known as SkyBahamas Airlines Ltd., the airline had expanded to Freeport, Grand Bahama, Marsh Harbour, New Bight and Arthur’s Town, Cat Island.

Sky Bahamas had a hub at Lynden Pindling International Airport and flew to 11 destinations in total from a fleet of 4 aircraft.

Passengers who flew with Sky Bahamas were permitted one piece of hand luggage and one small personal item. The total of these two items must not have exceeded 22 lbs and must have fit easily in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you.

Lynden Pindling International Airport, previously known as Nassau International Airport, is the Bahamas’ largest airport, and largest International gateway. Located near the capital city of Nassau in the New Providence western island.

The airport is a hub for airlines such as Bahamasair, Western Air and Sky Bahamas, but also operates services for a number of other airlines such as Pineapple Air, Flamingo Air, Condor and Air Canada Rouge.
