Buy Pan African Airline Flights with Alternative Airlines

Pan African Airline is a new startup Kenyan airline. Kenyan president, Uhuru Kenyatta, announced on New Year's Eve 2021 that a new Kenyan airline — Pan African Airline — would be set to launch in 2023. The new airline is being established as a joint partnership between two airlines, Kenya Airways (Kenya’s national flag carrier) and South African Airways. The partnership came about because both these airlines are looking to expand their global coverage as well as encourage greater tourism to and within African countries. The airline will likely share two two hubs, between Johannesburg in South Africa and Nairobi, Kenya.

Baggage Policy

Pan African Airline hasn't announced its baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage. Once the airline has shared information on baggage allowance, this section will be updated.

Carry-on Baggage

As the airline is in an early stage of startup, it has yet to announce what the baggage allowance will be for passengers. Both Kenya Airways and South African Airways offer passengers complementary carry-on baggage included in the price of the ticket, so it is likely that the newly established airline will also do the same.

Checked Baggage

Unfortunately, further information regarding the ticket fares and checked baggage allowance has yet to be announced.

Economy Class

It is not yet known what cabin class fares will be available. However, it is likely that the majority of seats will be in an Economy Class cabin.

Within Economy, the airline may offer tiered ticket fares, which determine different levels of flexibility — whether the ticket is refundable or whether the dates can be changed, for example.

Premium Economy

It is not yet known whether Pan African Airline will offer a cabin upgrade on Economy. If it chooses to do so, this could be in the form of premium seating and/or a Business Class cabin.

It's still unknown if Pan African Airline will offer online check in.

Online Check-in

It is not yet known whether online check-in is available.

Airport Check-in

The airline has yet to publish an announcment regarding recommended check-in times. However, in most instances it is recommended that passengers arrive as early as possible, usually about 2 hours before scheduled departure.

Airline Alliance

South African Airways is part of Star Alliance, the biggest international alliance of airlines. Kenya Airways is a member of SkyTeam, another major airline alliance program. It is not yet known which network Pan African Airline will be part of.
