About FlyArmenia

FlyArmenia Airways was the flag carrier of Armenia and was based at Zvartnots International Airport in the capital of Armenia. The airline aimed to provide a gateway for Armenians to travel abroad with its high-quality services and standards. The airline's AOC (Air Operator Certificates) was received in July 2020, allowing the airline to start operating in 2021. FlyArmenia Airways has now rebranded itself into Hayways.

Initially, the airline was planning to fly to ten destinations including Prague, Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-Don, Marseille, Prague, Moscow and more using its fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft including the Airbus 319, Boeing 737 and Boeing 757 aircraft.

Baggage Policy

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers get a free hand luggage allowance on FlyArmenia. Economy Class passengers receive one free 10kg baggage onboard whereas Business Class passengers are entitled to two free 10kg baggage onboard. All carry-on baggage must fit in the overhead lockers or under the seat.

No prohibited items are allowed onboard the aircraft including any fluid exceeding 100ml. Any prohibited items found by airport security would be confiscated.

Checked Baggage

Every fare-paying passenger is entitled to one free 25kg checked baggage, but Business Class passengers would receive an extra piece of 25kg checked baggage allowance.

Checked baggage allowed cannot exceed 158cm in the sum of three dimensions (width + height + depth). Due to international Health and Safety regulations, baggage weighing over 32kg would not be accepted by the airline regardless.

Excess Baggage

Any passengers who wish to buy excess baggage on FlyArmenia flight can do so when booking with Alternative Airlines. Simply select the amount of excess baggage needed at checkout.

Cabin Classes

Economy

Food and beverages are provided on FlyArmenia flights, the menu options changes depending on the destination and the departure times. The wide range of selection for the passengers ensures that there's always something for you.

Economy Class is laid out in a 3 x 3 configuration on all aircraft. The spacious cabin and seat designs guarantee passengers to have a pleasant and comfortable journey on all flights.

Business

Business Class passengers are entitled to priority check-in and boarding, lounge access, more baggage and more personal space. The Business Class cabin is laid out in a 2 x 2 configuration, making passengers feeling more relaxed in the spacious cabin.

Check-In

Online Check-in

Online check-in isn't available for the airline, all passengers must check-in at the airport.

Airport Check-in

Airport check-in counters close 45 minutes before scheduled departure time. Passengers reporting late to the check-in counters may result in a loss of fare. At Alternative Airlines, we recommend passengers to arrive at the airport two hours before scheduled departure time.

FlyArmenia plans to fly to multiple international destinations including Prague, Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-Don, Marseille, Prague, Los Angeles and more. In addition to that, the airline is also hoping to connect Yerevan with Sochi, Tel Aviv, Krasnodar and more in the future, providing connections for Armenia's capital.

Zvartnots International Airport

Zvartnots International Airport (EVN) is located 15 km from Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. It's the main airport in Armenia and it's the busiest. In 2019, there were over 3 million passengers travelling through the airport.

Airlines that operate to and from the airport include airlines from Asia, Europe, the Middle East. These airlines include, but not limited to, Air Cairo, Azimuth, FlyErbil, Korean Air, NovAir Armenia, Qatar Airways, Ural Airlines, Utair, Nordavia, S7 Airlines and Wizz Air.

Fleet

As of October 2020, FlyArmenia is planning to fly the Airbus 319-100, Boeing 737-300 and Boeing 757-200. These aircraft are all efficient twin-engine jets, capable of short to long haul routes and accommodating 124 to 184 passengers onboard.
