The 2019 Rugby World Cup is set to take place between 20th September—2nd November 2019. The tournament is the ninth ever Rugby World Cup and will consist of twenty different nations competing in a group stage and knockout format.

 

Where is the 2019 Rugby World Cup?

The tournament will be hosted in Japan. This is the first time that Japan will have hosted the Rugby World Cup and the first time that the tournament will be hosted in Asia. The competition will be held at 12 different venues across Japan. The opening game will be played at Ajinomoto Stadium, Chōfu, Tokyo and the final will be played the International Stadium, Yokohama.

Namibia earn their spot in the 2019 Rugby World Cup

Namibia has become the latest team to qualify for the tournament after a comfortable victory over Kenya. Namibian residents can fly to Tokyo for the competition by purchasing airline tickets with Alternative Airlines. Popular airlines that fly from Namibia to Tokyo include Ethiopian and Qatar. Passengers can expect a journey of around 23 hours with one stop, depending on which airline they fly on.
