Benin Airlines is an airline based in Benin. The airline operated many of its flights from Cadjehoun Airport. Benin Airlines used to operate weekly scheduled passenger flights to/from Parakou. These flights have now been suspended due to the impact of COVID-19.

Although scheduled passenger flights with Benin Airlines have been suspended, the airline still offers charter flights to/from domestic destinations in Benin such as Cotonou, Bohicon, Savé, Parakou, Djougou, Natitingou, Porga/Pendjari and Kandi.


Benin Golf Air

Benin Golf Air, which has now ceased operations as of 2012, was an airline based in Cotonou, Benin. It mainly operated domestic flights in Benin as well as regional flights around West Africa.


Cronos Airlines

Cronos Airlines Benin is a regional carrier in Benin which was founded in 2017. Cronos Airlines Benin began its operations with 3x weekly services between Cotonou and Abidjan. Cronos Airlines Benin is a member of a group of companies composed of Cronos Airlines.

If you're a history buff, you might be interested in learning about the history of slave trading in Benin. Visit Ouidah's local history museum to find out all about the slave trade in Benin during the rule of the Dahomey Kingdom that existed from 1600 to 1904.


One of the top attractions in the country is the ruined temples and royal palaces in Abomey that belonged to the Dahomey Kingdom - this city is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.


Other things to do include whale watching, checking out sea turtlesshopping for artisanal goods and handicrafts as well as making your own pottery.

The best time to visit Benin is from November to February - the temperature is comfortable and the weather is dry with low humidity.
