Founded in 1995, the airline is based at Cuiabá (Cuiabá Marechal Rondon Airport), and provides regional flights within Brazil. ASTA Linhas Aéreas was originally founded in 1995 as an air taxi company, when it began operations using two Seneca turboprops out of Cuiabá. The carrier received authorisation to operate regular flights in 2009. Today, ASTA Linhas Aéreas operates three Cessna Caravan 208B, which can carry 9 passengers each.
