Amakusa Airlines is a commuter airline that operates scheduled flights within Japan. The airline carrier operates out of its hub at Amakusa Airfield (AXJ), northwest of Amakusa, Kumamoto, Japan, on the Amakusa Islands. The airline was founded in October 1998 and commenced its operations in March 2000 with services from Amakusa to Fukuoka and Kumamoto. The airline currently flies between 6 cities and 2 islands within Japan.
In the future, Amakusa Airlines would like to fly between Amakusa and Kagoshima, Amakusa and Miyazaki, Amakusa and Kochi, Oita and Osaka, Fukuoka and Osaka, Hiroshima and Osaka as well as Fukuoka and Tsushima.
