The Eastern Iowa Airport (IATA: CID) is an airport located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. It is often referred to as the Cedar Rapids Airport or The Eastern Iowa Cedar Rapids Airport. The airport is served by American carriers, mainly serving passenger domestic flights. There are also some cargo airlines that operate from this airport. In 2017, the airport served 1,143,335 total passengers and 53,566,069 pounds of cargo.
In 1944, the Cedar Rapids Municipal Airport was completed with the help of military funding. It wasn't until 1997 that the airport was renamed to The Eastern Iowa Airport, to reflect its operations serving regional destinations.
The airport is located on Wright Brothers Boulevard on the southern edge of town. This is found two miles west of Interstate 380, within Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States.
Despite CID spanning 3,288 acres of land, its main terminal building is small yet modern with a few eateries and shops to keep you entertained whilst waiting for your flight.
