The airport opened in the 1930s and serves cities within the United States and Europe. The airport is the 3rd busiest airport serving the state and the 5th busiest on the island of Ireland. How to get to Shannon Airport

By Road

There are many taxi companies that offer taxicab services at Shannon Airport. For taxi service from the airport, head to the airport cab desk in the Arrivals Hall. It takes only 30 minutes to the Shannon centre by taxi from the city of Limerick.
