About Saurya Airlines

Saurya Airlines is a Nepalese scheduled airline based in Kathmandu and was founded on August 2014. Its first-ever route was from Kathmandu Airport to Biratnagar Airport. In the first three years, the airline was only flying with one aircraft in their fleet until early 2017 when the airline added another CRJ 200 into its operations. The airline only operates domestic routes in Nepal, flying to seven destinations in the country (as of October 2020) using a fleet of Bombardier CRJ 200 aircraft, the aircraft type the airline has been using since commenced operations in November of 2014.

Baggage

Carry-on Baggage

Hand luggage and checked baggage combined cannot exceed 25kg in weight. Carry-on baggage must fit in the overhead lockers or under the seat, bigger items must be transported as checked baggage. No prohibited items are allowed onboard including any fluid exceeding 100ml.

Checked Baggage

Checked baggage and hand baggage combined weight cannot exceed 25 kg. Any excess baggage can be added to your booking when booking with Alternative Airlines, check our guide on baggage booking process for more information. Any baggage exceeding 32kg would not be accepted by the airline.

Airport Check-In

All passengers must check-in at the airport when arriving at the airport. When arrived at the airport, report to the airline check-in area to complete check-in. The check-in area for Saurya Airlines should be clearly indicated on the departure information board or on the signs of the airport. Check-in desks at the airport should also be clearly labelled with the airline name and logo. Please seek assistance from the airport staff if unsure.

Check-in must be completed before heading to airport security. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport 1.5 hours before scheduled departure time to avoid any unexpected delays. Failure to check-in may result in the loss of fare.

Frequent Flyer Program

Saurya Saarathi

Saurya Saarathi is the name of the airline's frequent flyer programme. This membership allows passengers to earn points when flying with the airline and in return, passengers would be able to receive discounts on flight tickets in the future. It would also have other benefits including priority check-in and boarding. Furthermore, passengers would be able to enjoy discounts on products or service with the airline's partners in Nepal, including restaurants, bars, hotels and cafes.
