Pelita Air has been listed in Category 1 by the Indonesian Civil Aviation Authority for its airline safety quality. Its main hub is based at Pondok Cabe Airport and its secondary hub is at Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport.

In 2016, Pelita Air was providing transportation services, fuel and oil and in 2020, they started providing general cargo transportation services. Pelita Air Services has 10x Airbus A230 on order, as they want to start operating passenger flights again.

Carry-on Baggage

Most airlines will allow you to bring cabin baggage (H56cm x W45cm x D25cm) and a small personal item on board at no extra cost. This depends on your flight destination with Pelita Air. However, some airlines will charge you for cabin baggage. When booking your Pelita Air flight this information will be provided to you.

Checked Baggage

When booking your flight you can add extra checked baggage to your booking. Due to health and safety reasons, baggage weight cannot exceed 32kg. You may be requested to remove items from your checked baggage if it's overweight, so pack carefully.

Once Pelita Air starts operating passenger flights again baggage information will be available to you.

You should aim to check in online to ensure a quick and easy process at the airport. You can check in online with Pelita Air Service from 48 hours to 30 minutes before your departure. Print out or save your boarding pass onto the 'mobile wallet' so you're ready to show it throughout the airport.

If you can't check in online, you can check-in the at the airport. Pelita Air Service check-in desks are generally open 3 hours before your flight departure. Please note that you may be charged an additional fee for checking in at the airport.

Pondok Cabe Airport

Pondok Cabe Airport is a combined civilian and military airport in Pondok Cabe, Pamulang, South Tangerang. This airport operates in Ciputat, Depok, and other parts of Depok and districts in the South of Jakarta. The airport is owned by the state oil company Pertamina and operated by Pelita Air Service.

The airport has a runway with a length of 1,986 metres. Pondok Cabe Airport is only a hub for Pelita Cabe Airport however, EastIndo also flies to and from this airport.

Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport

Halim PerdanaKusuma International Airport is a secondary hub for Pelita Air Service. The airport is based in East Jakarta. As well as operating commercial scheduled flights, the airport is also used for military, private and presidential purposes. In 2016, Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport had about 5.6 million passengers.

The airport is relatively small as it only has one passenger terminal and is about 10,000 square metres. This terminal operates all departing and arriving flights. The airport also has a presidential terminal, the terminal is used by the President of the Republic of Indonesia and other VVIPs.

This airport is also a hub for Batik AirCitilink and Susi Air. Other airlines that fly to and from this airport include Trigana Air.
