Fly748 is a domestic Kenyan airline that launched commercial flights in May 2021. It temporarily suspended its commercial operations in 2023 to focus on humanitarian and charter flights. In May 2026, it relaunched its commercial service and is now available to book through Alternative Airlines.
Fly748 currently flies two routes:
- Nairobi > Mombasa
- Nairobi > Ukunda (Diani Beach)
It flies these routes both ways.

Fly748 payment methods
When you book your Fly748 flights through Alternative Airlines, you'll have a wide range of payment methods to choose from.
Pay in over 160 currencies, including the Kenyan Shilling. Or pay with a cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin.
Select customers will have the option to pay later for their flights. Pay-later eligibility depends on several factors, including your country of residence. For example, if you live in South Africa, you can pay for your flights in interest-free or long-term instalments with PayJustNow, Payflex and Happy Pay.
Unfortunately, Alternative Airlines doesn't currently offer any pay-later options to residents of Kenya.

Unaccompanied minor
Children aged 5 to 11 can travel on Fly748 without an adult through the unaccompanied minor scheme. Your child will meet a friendly member of the Fly748 team at the airport, who will look after them and make sure they successfully board their flight.
Children below 5 must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 or over.
Children aged 12 and above can book an adult ticket and travel alone without being on the unaccompanied minor scheme.
Firearm policy
You can travel with firearms on Fly748, but special rules and regulations apply.
Before you travel and check in, you must declare any firearm or weapon to airport security and airline staff. All firearms must be unloaded with no ammunition in the chamber. Any ammunition brought with you must be packed in a separate and approved container.
At the airport, your firearm will be inspected, and you will be required to fill out a firearm declaration form. Only small firearms used for hunting or sport will be allowed through. All cartridges must meet UN standards, and weapons must be in a strong, secure case.
Once your firearm's been approved, it will be secured in the aircraft hold. You cannot bring the firearm into the cabin unless you have official government authorisation.

Passengers are entitled to 1 piece of hand baggage. It must not exceed the following weight and dimensions:
- Weight: 5 kg
- Dimensions: 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm
Baggage that exceeds the above will count as checked baggage and may lead to additional fees.
Checked/ Hold baggage
Passengers are entitled to 1 piece of checked baggage that cannot exceed 10 kg.
If you purchase Fly748's Smart Fare, you can bring up to 23kg of checked baggage.

Fly748 offers one cabin class on all its flights: Economy.
You can add the Fly748 Smart Fare to your economy booking to increase your baggage allowance and ticket flexibility.

Airport check-in for Fly748 flights typically opens 3 hours before departure and closes 60 minutes before departure.
As Fly748 is a domestic airline, Alternative Airlines recommends arriving at the airport 2 hours before your flight.
Food & drink
If your Fly748 flight is delayed, you will be provided with complimentary meals appropriate to the time of day and the length of the delay.
