About AirJapan
The All Nippon Airways (ANA) Group, one of the largest carriers in Japan, newest airline is AirJapan. The airline is part of ANA's new business model transition, which is how they're adapting to shifting customer preferences for sustainable growth and development.
The airline aims to provide a comfortable cabin experience for an affordable price.
Through elements such as their cabin staff uniform, they want to give a taste of Japan from the moment passengers board their flight.
Though the names are very similar, Air Japan Co., Ltd is the name for the carrier running some of the international passenger flights operated by the ANA Group. The new airline brand AirJapan, will mostly be flying international routes via Asia.
Flight tickets for AirJapan are planned to go up for sale in Summer 2023.
AirJapan Baggage Policy
Carry-on Baggage
No carry-on baggage allowance has yet been disclosed by the airline as of yet.
Carry-on luggage must fit under the front seat and in the overhead lockers. Unless the item is restricted by the country of travel, prohibited items must be stored in checked baggage and not in carry-on luggage. Items that are prohibited from being brought into the country may be seized by airport security or the immigration office upon arrival.
Checked Baggage
No information on the checked baggage allowance has been released.
International healthy and safety standards prohibit checked baggage from weighing more than 32kg under any circumstances and once the airline has provided information, it is also prohibited from exceeding the permissible size allowance.
When the airline has disclosed its baggage allowance policy, it will also make clear whether any excess baggage will incur additional charges.

Airport Check-In
The airline has not yet made a statement about suggested check-in timings. Although it is typically advised that travellers come as early as possible - about 2 hours before scheduled departure for international flights. We advise checking your departure airport in advance as recommended departure times can vary by airport.
Economy Class
The only cabin class that will be offered by AirJapan is Economy class, which provides a comfortable journey. The cabin has 324 seats available.
Economy Class Facilities
Economy Class seats will allow you to use your smartphone or tablet comfortably because the seats are fitted with Type-A and Type-C USB connections as well as tablet holders.
Economy Class Seats
The seat pitch will be larger than a standard economy-class seat, at 32 inches (or 81 centimetres). Passengers will enjoy a more relaxing trip with the greater legroom and deeper reclining features.
Premium Economy
AirJapan will not provide a Premium Economy cabin.
Business Class
AirJapan will not provide a Business Class cabin.
First Class
AirJapan will not provide a First Class cabin.
Food and Drink
According on the preferences of the customer, AirJapan will provide a variety of snacks, drinks and meals which will come at an extra fee.
"Experience Japan's Culture through its Incredible Cuisine" is the theme of their on-board catering. To reduce food waste on board, they plan to load what has been purchased for pre-order meals.
