Air Excursions is a US airline that flies both scheduled and charter passenger flights. The airline is based at Juneau International Airport and strictly flies within Alaska, serving as a commuter airline within the state. Overall, the airline flies to more than 10 destinations.
The airline is owned by Alaska Seaplanes. The two airlines co-ordinate their flight scheduled and route network to give customers the best connectivity within Alaska at the most convenient times.
Air Excursions was founded in 1990 as its own independent airline and has flown a with very similar route network since it launched operations. The airline's main goal has always been to link Alaska's capital, Juneau, with the more remote destinations within Alaska, giving the people of Alaska an easy way to travel around the state for work and other purposes.
Although primarily a scheduled airline, the carrier does also fly charter services, which is available through its own website.

As of June 2020, the airline only operates to domestic destinations within the state of Alaska in the US. These destinations include Angoon, Elfin Cove, Excursion Inlet, Gustavus, Haines, Kake, Whitehorse and more. Whitehorse is only a seasonal destination for the airline.

Baggage Allowance
Carry-on Baggage
No free carry-on baggage is allowed on board the aircraft.
Checked Baggage
All baggage must not weigh more than 50lbs (23kg). Any oversized baggage may not fit the aircraft and passengers must notify the airline in advance.
Any baggage weighing more than 50lbs will be charged an excess baggage fee. If you wish to buy excess baggage, please contact our customer service team.
Check-In Information
Online Check-In
Online check-in is not available for passengers. All passengers must check in at the airport.
Airport Check-In
All passengers must check in one hour before the scheduled flight departure time. Passengers who fail to check in on time may be charged by the airline and will miss their flight.
When passengers arrive at the airport, please follow the signs for the designated check-in area for the airline. Valid photo identification is required for check-in to verify travellers' identification.
The airline reserves the right to deny boarding for any passenger that is late for check-in or boarding.
The Experience
Air Excursions makes air travel hassle-free. Its planes can only carry up to eight passengers per flight, so there are no long queues to check-in or waiting around at security. Passengers can show-up for their flight close to boarding time and not worry about missing their flight.
The plane itself is fitted with large and comfortable padded seats, with bigger seat width and pitch than you'd expect from a traditional airline in Economy Class. The airline uses the same planes for both its scheduled and charter flights, so you can expect a private business jet styled cabin whenever you fly on the carrier. Each seat is placed independently within the cabin, so passengers are seated next to both the aisle and window.
As flight times are short, the airline doesn't have any in-flight entertainment, WIFI or meal services. Although, water and a snack may be provided on select flights. And, passengers are welcome to bring their own food and drink on board.

The cancellation policy for Air Excursions flights is straight forward — all flights are non-refundable unless cancelled within 24 hours of booking.
