About ValueJet
ValueJet (not to be confused with ValuJet is a Nigerian virtual carrier that operates scheduled flights to cities within Nigeria including Lagos, Abuja, Asaba, Kano and Jos, among others. The airline also offers charter services. Its aim is to better connect Nigeria and its people and wants to provide the best service possible to its customers.
ValueJet is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. Its hub airport is Murtala Muhammed International Airport. The airline launched its first commercial flights on the 10th of October 2022, starting off with domestic routes from Lagos to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Jos and Asaba.
Destinations
As of October 2022, ValueJet flies to only a handful of cities within Nigeria but is expected to expand its network after its fleet has grown. Daily flights are operated from Lagos to Port Harcourt, Abuja, Asaba and Benin City.

Baggage
Carry-on Baggage
If you're flying with ValueJet, you're allowed to take one piece of carry-on baggage. The maximum dimensions are 55 x 40 x 24cm (21 x 15 x 9in) and the bag cannot weigh more than 7kg (15lbs). The bag must be able to fit underneath the seat in front of you or in the overhead lockers.
Checked Baggage
When flying with ValueJet, you're allowed one piece of checked baggage that cannot exceed the maximum weight of 20kg (44lbs).
Cabin Classes
ValueJet offers both low-cost and premium fare types for its customers - these are ValueLite, ValueXtra and ValuePremium
ValueLite
Baggage allowance of 7kg (15lbs) of hand luggage which cannot exceed dimensions of 55 x 40 x 24cm (21 x 15 x 9in) and must fit underneath the seat in front of you or in the overhead locker.
Specific seats designated for ValueLite passengers are available for you to select
ValueXtra
ValueXtra lets you take 1 piece of checked baggage that cannot weigh more than 30kg (44lbs).
ValueXtra seats are located after the ValuePremium seats.
Priority check-in, boarding and disembarkment is available, as well as airport lounge access. This ticket is also flexible, with no change fees should you need to change your flight.
ValuePremium
2 x pieces of checked baggage - each bag must not exceed 30kg (66lbs). You're also allowed one piece of hand luggage that mustn't exceed 7kg (15lbs) in weight and 55 x 40 x 24cm (21 x 15 x 9in) in dimensions.
ValuePremium seats are located in the first 3 rows of the aircraft.
You'll get priority check-in, boarding and dis-embarkment. Airport lounge access is available. If you need to change your flight, there are no change fees.
In-Flight Entertainment and Wi-Fi
In-flight entertainment is not provided on board a ValueJet flight. Wi-Fi is also not available. We suggest bringing your own forms of entertainment for your flight, such as a book to read or your favourite movies/TV shows downloaded on your electronic devices.
Food
Due to the very short flight lengths between the Nigerian cities that ValueJet flies to, food is not provided on the flight. It is likely that the airline serves snacks and soft drinks.

Online Check-In
You can check in online for your ValueJet flight through ValueJet's online check-in page.
Airport Check-In
Airport check-in is available however it is not yet known when check-in opens and closes for ValueJet flights. Therefore, we recommend you arrive at the airport at least 2-3 hours before the flight is scheduled to depart, so that you have plenty of time to find the ValueJet check-in counter and find out more information from there.
Frequent Flyer Program
ValueJet has its own frequent flyer/loyalty program called ValueFlyer. It has been specifically designed to enable frequent ValueJet flyers to earn and spend points to receive unique rewards and benefits, further improving their flight experience with ValueJet. There are four membership levels: Purple Tier, Silver Tier, Gold Tier and Platinum Tier.
Purple Tier
This is the first tier for all members, starting off with 0 points. Once the ValueFlyer member gains points, the points expire after 36 months. The member can spend points on air and non-air partners with ValueJet.
Silver Tier
This tier is achieved after the ValueFlyer member has reached 300 points. There is an extra baggage allowance of 5kg (11lbs) and the member also receives complimentary gifts as well as the benefits involved in the Purple Tier.
Gold Tier
To reach Gold Tier, the ValueJet member needs to have obtained 540 points. In this tier, members get priority check-in, boarding and lounge access. An additional 10kg (22lbs) can be added to the baggage allowance and the member also experiences benefits from the previous tiers (Purple and Silver).
Platinum Tier
The highest tier can be reached after a member has earned 720 points. Platinum Tier gives members priority check-in, boarding and lounge access as well as an additional 15kg (33lbs) of baggage allowance. Platinum Tier members can also enjoy all of the benefits included in the Purple, Silver and Gold Tiers.

ValueJet's fleet consists of 3 aircraft. It currently has 2 x Bombardier CRJ900s that used to belong to Air Nostrum and 1 x ;Bombardier CRJ900LR leased from Lufthansa.
Seats
Seats on the Bombardier CRJ900 are in a 2 x 2 format. There are over 70 passenger seats inside this aircraft. Each seat is 17.5in (44.5cm) wide with a seat pitch of 31in (78cm).

Murtala Muhammed International Airport
Murtala Muhammed International Airport is an international airport based in Lagos, Nigeria. It's named after Murtala Muhammed, the fourth military ruler of Nigeria, and was built during World War II. The airport is a hub for other Nigerian airlines including Arik Air, Azman Air, Med-View Airline, Air Peace and Ibom Air. Other major airlines from across the globe fly to this airport including Air France, Emirates and United Airlines, among others.
This airport has seen many improvements over recent years, with malfunctioning systems like air conditioning and luggage belts being repaired. The entire airport was deep cleaned after the COVID-19 pandemic and many new restaurants and duty-free stores have had the opportunity to open, now that travel is back in demand.

Do ValueJet offer international flights?
No, ValueJet doesn't currently offer international flights. It flies domestically within Nigeria to 8 Nigerian cities, including Lagos, Abuja, Jos, Kano and Benin City, among others. If you'd like to fly internationally from Lagos, consider flying with Air Peace, Green Africa Airways or Max Air.

Startup airline in Nigeria, ValueJet, launches first flights
The newest airline founded in Nigeria, ValueJet, has officially begun operating its first flights from the 10th of October 2022, starting off frequent flights from Lagos to Port Harcourt, Jos, Abuja and Asaba. ValueJet expects competition with a range of other larger airlines in Nigeria, including Arik Air and Air Peace.
